Me and my husband visit maui at least once a year because I am lucky to have a son that lives in Maui. This year we went for my husband's birthday. Our unit was fabulous. We booked through Sullivan Properties and was surprise at our unit. Everything was perfect. We especially liked the view from our bedroom and was able to see the whales from both lanais. Our unit 1422 was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. I am already planning next year's trip and will stay in the same unit.

“Good Stay”

Kapalua Villas

Mar 5, 2008

Stayed here for four days in February, in an Ocean view villa. The first one they gave us didn't have the right amount of beds so they gave us a cot until they were able to put us somewhere else the next day. The second villa was nice, the view was amazing, but slightly obstructed by all the construction going on in front of it. The best part was sitting out on the deck and watching the whales jump. It seemed at any given time between sun up and sun down there was a whale somewhere between us and the horizon. it was amazing. the restaurants on the resport were very good but VERY pricey. You're better off going to Lahaina for a good meal, cute town too. The beaches and pool at Kapalu were very nice as well. The only real downside was how far it was from everything else, made even worse by the daily traffic jams. Yes, hawaii has traffic problems, i was shocked.

Was at the villas in Sept. I have been to Maui many times, usually staying at resorts. I booked through Ridge realty and got a super-upgraded 1 bedroom condo for 250.00 per night, which I was able to see and select beforehand. I was completely satisfied. It was immaculate with a great kitchen, flat screen T.V., and was wonderfully furnished with a nice ocean view. Upon arrival I called the rental agent and they met me at the clubhouse, led us to the condo, showed us around and made sure we were comfortable and happy with everything. Totally top notch all the way around. I would not hesitate to go back again or recommend it to my friends or relatives.

“We had 3 nights of misery here at Kapalua Villas in Maui”

Kapalua Villas

Hello , We booked a 6 night stay at the Kapalua Villas. We stayed in condo room 22T8. The first night was okay because the condo owners upstairs were not at home. The view was very nice. I was sick and had to stay in. The condo above us was being renovated it seemed . The noise was horrible. That night the condo owners came back and the noise upstairs above us was like a elephant stomping back and forth accross the floor pacing it seeemed almost constantly with no consideration or repect for the vacationeers { us } below. This guy paced al night long and our vacation was turning into a nightmare. We called security and they came out the next day and talked with one of the owners. The lady admitted her husband was on a conferance call and was pacing all night. The security guy told us. The next night it seemed was retaliation night for us vacatineers. The guy was banging , pacing , slamming the toilet seat down at 3 o clock in the morning. We got no sleep. I called the security again and they did nothing. We later found out through the talking with the condo homeowners management that the homeowners had the right to make as miuch noise as they wish. We contacted the Kapalua Villa vacation manager and told her what the other condo homeowners association manager had said. A Mr Bill Green. She said she would look into it and finally moved us to another unit which was alot better . We requested a credit for 2 nights vacation we were having here with no sleep for 3 nights. We have not seen the outcome yet. I do not recommend anyone to stay at these Kapalua Villas , at least in room 22T8. We were exhausted from moving again with no sleep. This homeowner above us went out of his way to makes us feel very un-wanted there. Bill Green the homeowner association manager told us basically the owners have all the rights and can stay up as long as they want and he admitted the flooring was like a bass drum above us when people walked. Horrible for us as we found out. We will never return again to Kapalua Villas. Buy the way the two restarants food was way over priced and mc Donalds would have been a better choice comparing ythe quality of the food. Kapalua has little to offer us then maybe a golf course and we don't golf.

“One miserable night”

Kapalua Villas

My husband and I booked our honeymoon through a travel agent requesting a budget friendly, nice honeymoon location. Having been to Maui before I was really looking forward to having a great time there. We arrived to Kapalua villas and checked in. We were staying in the Golf Villas. Our villa was villa #11. From the outside the "villa" looks like anyone's condominium home. On the inside it was horrible. The one bedroom, one floor villa looked like it hadn't been updated since 1975. The furnishings were old and stained. The kitchen was worn and the bathrooms were hideous. On one bright side, the surroundings outside were beautiful, the golf course and the ocean and island of Molokai could all be seen from the lanai. Kapalua villas gives you the right to use any of the facilities at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. However, the hotel was a very far walk and I can usually walk anywhere. Apparently there is some kind of shuttle service. The beaches were not within walking distance either. All of the restaurants in this area are extremely expensive. We didn't even want to attempt to cook on the stove in the kitchen we had. It looked dangerous. Upon checking out the next morning, the desk people asked if we enjoyed our stay. My husband told them all of our complaints and they were unapologetic and not nice. We booked a new hotel in Wailea, the Marriott. We checked in there and proceeded to have the best honeymoon we could have asked for. In short, if you are looking for a romantic time in Maui, stay in Wailea. The weather is consistently beautiful here, it's convenient and close to all the major activities and sights, and there are some very affordable hotels and properties here that would satisfy everyone.
