Just spent 3 nights in this hotel ,cost around £180 for triple.Found the rooms basic but clean,with TV,fridge,kettle and toaster,plenty of tea,coffee & milk provided.There was also a pool table,free in house movies,also a gas barbeque for guests use.also a microwave on 3 rd floor for guests use,plenty of books in TV room .The so called complimentary breakfast was brilliant,fruit juce cereal,fruit(tinned),jam,marmalade,peanut butter,honey,there was a big enough selection to keep you going all day.Location was superb in a quiet back water a stones throw from the world famous "Harrys Cafe de Wheels,most of Sydneys major attractions are within walking distance.Not a back packers hotels,OK for families,would certainly go again,excellent value for money

Upon arriving at the Mariners Court Hotel we were treated courteously and told our room would not be ready for a few hours, which was fine and with some helpful tips from the receptionist told of the sights to see. Finally the room was available, dissappointed, one courtyard to share, spoken to like children on the volume of noise after 10p.m. and about the $500.00 no argue fine if the smoke alarm went off, its not what we were told, it was HOW it was told to us. On averting a potential disaster in the breakfast area where guests were placed in harms way we were told not to help upon which another guest jumped into our defence of only wanting to help. Then when asking to simply change our bus transfer time it seemed so much trouble and eventually had to arrange this ourselves. The worst was when coming to settle a simple phone account of just a few small dollars, we were asked to go shopping and come back with change! We found staff to be very dissallusioned and not treated with respect. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising and I feel the Mariners Court are doing themselves a huge disservice just by handling things the way they do, we were appalled at our visit and will never return, and will go to great lengths to disway others from ever giving them patronage.

Family of 4 (parents + 2 teens) just spent an enjoyable weekend at the Mariner's Court Hotel in Woolloomooloo. Good impression to start with: when the family room wasn't available but they offered two adjacent rooms at the same price, which was extremely reasonable. Lovely courtyards, balconies, etc., also a games room with a pool table. A bonus: continental breakfast is included in the price. Staff could not have been more helpful, the location was tops (down the road from the historic Harry's Cafe de Wheels, near the wharf, lots of places to eat), walking distance to the Opera House, etc. (or $7 by taxi). We will stay there again. Highly recommended.
