the view from the balcony is great. the room is quite clean, but definitely could be cleaner. However, the room definitely require updates at renovation and repairing. The paint at the door of my room was faded out and repaired and faded out again. Also, the bath room is just too simple and the setting up and color just like hospital....

These accommodations are in a fabulous location, just off the strip. A number of the rooms are accessible only by climbing several flights of stairs. The upside is that all rooms have a full-front ocean view. The rooms are large and spacious. There is a pool and hot tub that looked inviting, though we didn't use them. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The main problem with these rooms (we actually had two different rooms during our stay) is that they are overdue for updates and are in need of a thorough cleaning. In both rooms I found dirty cups and dishes in the cupboards. Both rooms had tiny ants in the kitchen and even the bathroom. The ants were constant but not large in numbers. The iron in one room was old and broken. No ironing pad for the ironing board. One of the bathrooms had a moldy shower curtain. Both had dirty ceiling tiles in the bathroom.

None of these things affected the few days we stayed here, however. More like they were minor annoyances and kind of took the "resort feel" away. If we were there longer I would have requested some additional housekeeping and maintenance. The rates seemed very good for the season and area, and the location is hard to beat. I would recommend staying there, just be aware of the drawbacks.

We checked in here because it was the only supposed option that Sunlover Holidays could give us (refer to my whitsunday vista review). It was quirky 1970's style resort/hotel, the staff were nice and helpful. Our room was a good size clean and recently refurbished. However heaps of stairs to climb to get from rooms to reception and to heart of airlie... good central location!
The hot water service in our room allowed us to have 3/4 of a shower each at about 1 hour apart as it would simply run out and needed to recover!!! We met some of the hotels residents ( 1/2 rooms are rented to locals) and had a pleasant time chatting to them about airlie (good local knowledge)
