Well, “little” is the keyword in describing this hotel. In an ample contrast to the city it’s in. We stayed there for 3 nights this spring, in a triple room.
Our triple room was indeed one of the smaller triples I’ve seen. The third bed would have to be rolled up, for us to be able to move around the room and use the desk. In all other aspects, though, this hotel was fine.
The bathroom was large enough, though, and it was all generally clean.
The power stayed on when we went out. Also, the hotel featured a wireless internet connection (ask the reception for the key).
There was ample street parking available on the street in front of the hotel.
The breakfast was nice, tasty, and the atmosphere in the breakfast room was friendly and welcoming. So were the staff. We felt we were receiving genuine hospitality, not a pretentious treatment aiming to part us from our money. A rare quality in hotels these days.
The location was not particularly central, but it was central enough, with the inner town just across the bridge (and that being 2 blocks away). Most sights in Budapest are not in the very centre, though, so that’s not much help. No metro line runs near the hotel, but there’s a tram stop half a block away. During our stay, there was no significant traffic in the city, making the car a fine way to get around, but the evening approach from the highway proved to be problematic.
