My husband and I just came back from a quick one night stay in DC. While we've visited the city many times, it was our first time staying at The Quincy. We had a rather frustrating time at the parking garage (which simply enough is Colonial Parking right beside the hotel) dealing with the parking attendant -- who insisted we check-in first, before he would except our car, despite the front desk stating that they would call him with our room number. Despite that initial minor annoyance, we found check-in and check-out to be swift and friendly, they even helped us get our car out of the garage at 5 am the next day. The lobby is small and nothing special, but the rooms were great. We asked for a quiet room and were put on the back side of the hotel facing the alley -- the only loud sounds we heard were the garbage trucks emptying dumpsters in the early morning, but, of course, that's to be expected in a large city. The bathroom was adequate and had some thoughtful amenities, like cotton balls and mouthwash and the bath towels were oversized, soft, and fluffy. The sofa and bed were wonderfully comfortable -- no scratchy, polyester bedspead! We had a wondeful night sleep on a far too short trip. The location was really nice, very close to the metro and surrounded by restaurants -- Mackey's Pub directly below the hotel seemed very popular, although we didn't get a chance to visit it. Definately worth the advance booking price of $116, but not sure I'd be willing to pay the full price of $269.
