Having never been to Washington before, I had thought my hotel was not in a very good spot. And only selected it because I got a great deal. However, once arriving I soon realised that lots of hotels are in this area.

Catching the metro from Dupont Circle is really easy and does not take long to get to the stop for the Washington Monument and all the museums.

However, the hill from the hotel to Dupont Circle is Steep and I think of myself as reasonably fit.

The room was clean and comfortable, but a little dark and cold for my liking. Nothing I can complain about, but nothing memorable

This hotel is in a wonderful area about six long blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro. It is a pleasant walk to the Metro and all of the Dupont Circle restaurants. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful and the check in process very quick. The room itself was quite small with little natural light. The room seemed to be in need of refurbishment as the wall coverings were in disrepair and the carpet stained. The wireless internet worked great.

They offer wine and cheese on Tuesday nights but I was disappointed to find the cheese and wine served with Saltine crackers. Overall the hotel is above average but not by much.

If price is a big concern then this is the place to stay. I paid only $99 a night for a seven night stay which is much lower than other hotels in the area.

Unobtrusive externally, but pleasant exterior in a good neighbourhood - embassies and other quality properties. Walkable to Dupont Circle. Exceptionally pleasant, efficient and helpful desk staff. Room not large but really nicely presented, with a decent bathroom, coffee and a fridge. Free tea and coffee are permanently on offer in the dining area behind reception, and a really nice touch was the Tuesday night cheese and wine reception which gives you the chance to mingle with fellow guests. I got an exceptional 2 night deal at $117p.n. incl taxes, which I guess was a limited offer and/or just mid-week. Exceptional value for money. The only downside was the front desk recommendation to take the open top bus tour, which should have been great - but they don't have enough buses and I gave up waiting in the end and walked most of the circuit (a LONG walk!) They obviously have a commercial interest in this tie up, and in future I'd try another bus company.... or take a cab!

Overall, I highly recommend Jurys.

My son and I spent two nights at this lovely, small hotel near Dupont Circle. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood seven blocks north of the Metro. Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived flustered after spending an awful two hours on the SuperShuttle from BWI, and Odette, the desk clerk was warm, welcoming and immediately offered to help us find another way to the airport. (Take Metro and Marc train from Union Station.) She was also a great source of info on places to eat that were good and affordable. The windows in the room opened - a feature I love for the fresh air.
