“Helen's Amazing 40th Birthday Weekend - Thank You x”

Riad Zolah

May 14, 2008

Well, What can we say? Thank you to Fatima, Aziz, Omar and Ismail for a truly 5 star weekend. A stunning Riad, with a first class service, you made my 40th Birthday very special. Nothing was too much trouble and always done with a smile. I also wish to compliment the food, which was excellent and worth staying in for. Le Foundouk (raved on about in everything we have read) on the Friday night was not a pleasant experience - very rude staff together and awful cuisine. We actually left directly after our main meal. On the other hand Le Crystal Restaurant at Pacha was truly wonderful (for all ages). Fantastic food, beautiful setting, great ambience. Our room was kept immaculately clean and tidied everyday. The mobile phones supplied by the Riad are an excellent idea, and if you get lost (and we didnt) they will come and find you, or escort your home from your evening out which made us feel very safe. Jeremy, you have a little gold mine, full of diamonds! Thank you again. We will be back and our next visit cant come quick enough. Photos to follow - HELEN, JO JO, ALISON, JULIE, LAUREN. X

“Oasis in the Medina”

Riad Zolah

May 8, 2008

In our first trip to Marrakech, my wife, daughter and I could not have chosen better place to stay. Riad Zolah is a quiet Garden of Eden perfectly located in the center of the Medina. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast on the roof was a special treat. Our hosts were courteous, friendly and attended to our every need. Ismael found us perfect restaurants each evening of our four day stay. He also arranged a day trip to a Berber village in the mountains.

Riad Zolah is located next to the Souks where you lose yourself browsing in shops in a maze of alleyways. Everything imaginable is available for sale. If you like to bargain, there is no better place in the world. Worn out from all that shopping? Your riad and a relaxing glass of mint tea is just steps away.

While I can't say when we will return, I have no doubt where we will stay.

“A quite place in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech”

Riad Zolah

5 of 5 stars
Belgium
May 6, 2008

In April we stayed in this beautifull and quiet riad in the middle of the souks and as one of the other reviewers says: we can't rate it highly enough!
The information we got from Ismail before and after arrival was fantastic: information about tours, about the pick up service at the airport, really good and reliable restaurant reviews etc. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. And they could express themselves in English and French!
Riad Zolah is brilliantly situated within a couple of minutes of the souks, so exploring the city on foot is easy. And in case you would be afraid of getting lost, you can always ask the staff for help or to arrange a guide.
Ismail arranged a tour to the atlas mountains but unfortunately the Kasbah we had planned to visit was closed. When we returned and told Ismail about our journey he immediately proposed that we would take dinner in a restaurant of our choice on his expenses! We really appreciated this gesture!
We would recommand this riad to everyone!!!

“Fabulous central Riad, wonderful food and service second to none!!”

Upon arrival at the airport Hassan our driver, took us to the nearest point of the Riad and we were met by Aziz, who guided us through the winding walls of the medina to the none descript looking door of the Riad.. Aziz was an absolute treasure carrying our luggage and chatting away, it was as if he was an old friend we had come to visit.
Ismail let us in and omg!! how gorgeous was this place, the attention to detail is amazing. Ismail introduced himself and we were greeted with mint tea and cookies and shown to our room. The Riad is a luxurious, calm and arty oasis in a wonderful location, 5 mins from the main Medina. Gorgeous courtyards, hidden corners, beautiful furnishings abound and the Suite 1 was amazing. You honestly feel like royalty and the service is wonderful and not in the least intrusive, whatever you want, they will get.
The food is an absolute credit to them, gorgeous home cooked Tajines and the breakfast on the roof terrace is fantastic. The staff are all smiling faces, genuine interest and good conversation. Faultless and although a little pricey, well worth it!!
We hope to be back in the future. Fabulous!!When we got lost they even sent someone to meet us and accompany us back to the Riad, also the mobile phone comes in handy that they loan you, superb attention to detail EVERY step of the way.

“A perfect oasis”

Riad Zolah

Apr 22, 2008

Riad Zolah is a perfect oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. It is in the perfect situation for the Souks and Square and within walking distant of many of the historical sites. I would recommend having a guide for half a day to guide you round the Souks and museums nearby, as it helps to orientate you and also gives you a good background of the local culture.
From start to finish we were looked after and our every need was catered for. Ismail and Fatima could not have done enough for us, whether it be recommending a restaurant, booking reservations or guiding us through the maze of streets that make Marrakech the place it is.
The service from all the staff was second to none and the Riad itself absolutely beautiful. Jeremy you have superb taste!
We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate in recommending this lovely Riad. You will not be disappointed.
