“My new favourite hotel”

I have just come back from Nepal and the 3 days i spent at Fishtail lodge were clearly the highlight. I had read about damp smelling rooms etc so payed the little bit extra for a deluxe room and being upstairs had an awesome view. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful, peaceful location, the gardens are immaculate and the pool although small is adequate. I also found the staff wonderful and would go out of their way to help.
I would definately recommend staying here.

Best stay for a week.
Accomodation is great, food was free (for out trip), and the service was quick, unobstrusive.
Flooring is not heated.
The cottages are small, the bathrooms also small, but beautiful.
Toiletries are good.
Great for a honeymoon.

we had a very bad experience with one of the staff managers at the reception.we have travelled to so many countries in the world but this experience was very disturbing.we travel a lot and stay int he best of hotels but have never experienced such things before.our stay in fish tail was the most dissapointing and we will never recommend fishtail to any one again.the rooms are not great either.it was quite an ordinary place to stay in.for more class there are other fantastic hotels in pokhara.the attitude of the staff towards to the customers was very very bad.overall the worst holiday ever taken.

We were quiet disappointed after reading all the excellent reviews. The location is great and the little boat trip to the hotel is cute but our room was really disappointing. shabby, clammy and waiting for renovation. the beds looked like already used and the bathroom - you tried to shorten the time inside.

It would be ok if it's much cheaper but the prices are on the top end and you get much better value in other hotels in pokhara.
One good thing: the bar is great.
