This place is inexpensive but clean, secure and lovely - I'm paying $10 per day for a longterm (two month) stay. I picked it after walking ALL OVER the Lakeside area because I wanted to be near the restaurants and bookstores and cybercafes, but not near the noise. I also really like a sunny airy room and this has the sunniest rooms of any hotel I've stayed at in my life.
You get huge windows and can also sit out on the sunny balcony and there's a private courtyard garden. Almost every room has a mountain view - and I personally like to go up on the rooftop to watch the sunset on the mountains at night - it's magic.
It's clean, with three live-in 24x7 staff who will do almost anything you want - make coffee, run errands, laundry - for small tips. Every room has a private bathroom. However, you do not get a private TV, a phone line of your own (these are available in the lobby where there's also an Internet PC.) There's also no heat or AC, but you don't need them Oct-Nov which is now. Also, the water is heated via solar tanks on the roof - so if you want a hot shower, it's best to wait until afternoon. Frankly for the beauty, cleanliness and safety, I don't mind these small things - especially at this price. You'll have to decide for yourself.
