Stayed 3 nights (1-4 April), and the overall experience was much nicer than I expected. I stayed in an Executive Suite which was laid out exactly as it appeared on the hotel's website. The bathroom has a seperate shower and bath tub.
The large LCD TV was nice, several English language channels, free WiFi--be sure to get username and password during check in, 2 free bottles of water, large refrigerator, and even a couple of electric burners.
The hotel is about at least a 10 minute walk from Sukhumvit Road which is a major avenue and location of nearest Sky Train station (Nana). I like to walk, so no big deal. If you walk anywhere in Bangkok, you should expect uneven pavements, no pavements, broken pavement, pavments crowded with food carts and vendors, etc.
Metered taxis were always parked outside the hotel, and taxis are cheap. My ride from the airport (at about 11pm) was 300 baht which included tolls and to the airport (at about 430am) was about 250 including tolls. Guide books say to always take a metered taxi to avoid ripoffs.
Had 1 lunch and 1 dinner in the hotel. It was good and reasonably priced. It appeared that there were large groups of Thais eating there, so that is a good sign. 10% service charge included in the check--only realized after I left a 15% tip.
There was a uniformed security guard in the lobby near the elevators from sunset to sunrise. Several friends have asked, so I will share. The price of the room is for 2 people. If you are alone and make a new friend in Bangkok, there is no additional fee if your friend wants to visit your room. For security reasons, the hotel staff may ask to see your friend's ID. This information was volunteered to me by hotel staff when I checked in alone NOT from personal experience. I did not see any "non family friendly" activities while I was there.
There is a 7-Eleven, ATM, Bed Supper Club, Hillary 3 Bar, a German beer garden right around the corner. The distance from the main streets made this a quiet hotel.
I would stay here again and recommend to anybody who asks me about Bangkok.
