It is a good budget accommodation, good for stopovers as it is a bit far from the city and not to far from the airport. The staff was unhelpful, particularly when we checked in and out. They advertise at reception that they organize taxis when we try to organize one to the airport the reception staff refused to do so, which was very frustrating.

I would never stay in an Ibis for a holiday but as my hubby and I were just stopping over in Bangkok before flying out the next day it seemed a good idea. We paid about 40US or so for a suite room which I really think is worth while. I wouldnt stay in an ibis without a king bed as I think the "qeen" beds are far too small for a western couple.

It's cheap, the breakfast is ok but nothing fab, room service is fine, the rooms are clean and you have hot water. Service was very good and we felt pretty happy all up.

As I said, I wouldn't spend a lot of time in this hotel but as a budget, stop over hotel I think it's fine.

My one down side is that I'm not sure that the location is great but to be honest I dont know bangkok well so I'm not sure... it just seemed to take a long time to get to the hotel from the airport.

Eitherway, it's a good, cheap budget option.

We needed two overnights between several flights in/out of Bangkok. Using the Accor and/or Ibis website, we could book a VERY cheap non-refundable rate. It takes about 15-20 minutes by taxi from the airport. I would make sure to take the hotel name and address with you, even if written in English, so you can repeat it to the taxi driver. I was worried that it would take a long time to/from the airport, but we had no problems (probably based on missing commute times into/out of Bangkok). The fares for each of the four trips ranged from 150bt to 300bt.

We booked the cheapest standard room for both nights. It was a small room, smelling of very stale cigarette smoke (we forgot to ask for a non-smoking room). The bathroom was so small that one person could barely fit without tripping over the toilet while trying to get into the shower. Although the hotel is fairly new, the fixtures already seem to be aging quickly, since they are of the cheapest construction and materials. Two bottles of water were provided, along with instant coffee. The room has the amenities as described, such as shower (no bath), cable TV, aircon.

On our return, we were upgraded to a superior (non-smoking)room, with a lovely view of the side of a building barely a foot away! The room was at least 50% bigger, as was the bathroom. It was a much more comfortable stay and the smell was much nicer in the room. Still, no bath, just a shower. It was fine for us.

As others have mentioned, there are a lot of eating choices in the mall and there is a 24 hour Foodland within a few blocks.

The reception staff was welcoming and efficient. The staff was kind enough to hold our bags for a few days until our return. For the price (including taxi fare), it was about a third of the price of the Novotel at the airport. I would recommend it for a budget overnight in between flights.

Nice staff, but hotel was a bit disjointed, (pool and gym were in another hotel), I was put in a very small room with virtually no window, breakfasts were geared to Asian tastes but staff went to pains supply my requests.
In the middle of 2 large shopping malls with cheap eateries, and the night markets outside made it an intersting stay.
And yes I would visit again.
