In reading the rest of the reviews I think some folks didn't know what to expect in Thailand especially in the 1000 baht price range. A bathroom that doubles as the shower room is common as are on demand hot water heaters and firm mattresses. There is nothing sexy about this hotel but it was a convenient stop over on our way out of Thailand.
My quip is with the airport transfer service and the in accurate information received from the staff and their unwillingness to live up to the information given. When I saw the Convenient Resort sign held by a gentleman as we exited baggage claim, I went to ask if the shuttle was free. He said yes. I asked if it was free round trip and again he agreed. He had me find my reservation on his sheet and after waiting about 5 minutes the van was there to take us to the airport.
When we got to the hotel they informed us that my rate only included free breakfast but no transfers. Using the same sheet that I saw at the airport she was able to show me this. So the man at the airport had the same information but failed to answer my question correctly. The reception was unwilling to stand by what the man told me. Their service was convenient and fast but the main problem is the 150 baht they charge for what would be no more than 50 baht in a meter taxi (all the way to the left as you exit the terminal). I would have taken a meter taxi on the trip from the airport to the hotel but probably would have paid the extra 100 baht in the morning for the convenience of the hotel's nice Volvo cars that are waiting to take you to the airport. So my main beef is that they (knowingly I suspect) give incorrect information so that their guests can't make an informed choice about whether to use their convenient but expensive service.
