This is a lovely little boutique hotel, about 10-15 minutes away from the city of Chiang Mai. The location is peaceful and quiet and the rooms comfortable, very clean and nicely furnished. We had a room on the ground floor overlooking the river which was beautiful and well worth the additional cost (which wasn't much). The owner made the effort to come and greet us at breakfast one morning, and she was lovely, as were her staff.
We found being out of town no problem at all. As long as you have the hotel's address (in Thai), and a vague idea of where you're going, transport via taxi or tuk tuk is fine.
The only negatives were that the food was very average (as others have stated), so we didn't eat here except for breakfast. A bit disappointing as it's such a lovely setting and we would have been happy to spend more time just relaxing at the hotel if the food was of a better standard. Also, the walls are very thin! We heard other guests arguing and banging doors etc at all hours of the day and night which was very unpleasant.
That said, we enjoyed our time here and would stay again - hopefully without the other inconsiderate guests!
