Fern Paradise is a small paradise indeed, full of exotic ferns and palmtrees. The little cottages are very nice and comfortable, although the bathrooms are very small.

Although we booked for a week, we decided to change after one night due to the large distance to Chiang Mai (about 10km) and poor communication (except for taxi (about 200 - 300 Bht one way)).

It you are looking for a getaway in a little jungle this is t he place for you, but if, like us, you want to explore Chiang Mai with the possibility of going to your room every now and then...we wouldn't recommend it.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Fern Paradise for two nights whilst in Chiang mia this month. I can honestly say that this is the nicest place I've ever stayed. The surroundings are so beautiful and the chalets are amazing.... I only wish we could have stayed longer. Om and his wife are fantastic hosts and they certainly make you feel welcome. It is only a 10 minute taxi drive out of town which makes it convenient too. We look forward to coming back again and have already recommended it to family and friends.

Just a short trip outside Chiang Mai, it's well worth the cab-fare. This jungle paradise feels so removed from the surrounding city- it's a little escape allowing you to unwind and relax before or after a busy day exploring. The family takes such good care of their guests, and they are a wealth of information. The rice-barn "huts" are so unique and romantic. Excellent breakfasts and great tour of the grounds with the owner. He even provided us with our own fern spores to start at home-
Free internet. We rented a scooter for our 5 day stay and enjoyed the freedom to cruise around the countryside.

Stopped for a few nights at the start of our Thailand trip and felt instantly relaxed from the very start. We stoppped in the middle price range room and found it very comfortable and spacious. Getting into town is easy, Om will call a cab for you and it only costs a few quid.

It's a good idea to stop on the way to the hotel for a bottle of wine or 2 as I'm not sure thay sell any. Breakfast in the mornings is a beautiful affair, the foods Ok but it's the location. Food on the evening is very cheap and very tasty.

Basically you'll love it.
