ServiceWell on writing this reveiw, we have just booked in at the Baan Samui for the fourth time.
This hotel has not got all the ultra modern facilities as some of the other hotels, but what it makes up for is the relaxed atmosphere of the staff and people who stay at this resort.
We have stayed at very expensive resorts in Asia and found most times staff and guests are very sterile but no at the Baan.

Business serviceWe really enjoyed ourselves at this hotel, as many others have said the hotel and location was great. We stayed here for 19 nights in April and didn't want to leave. When we arrived we had enough time to prepare ourselves for the crazy New Years in Thailand - lots of water throwing, sometimes mixed with flour.
Very comfortable and friendly hotel with everything on your doorstep. Food great in and around the hotel, pool was lovely which they also use for party's in the evening with a fantastic show.
The beach was absolute wonderful with great massages by the ladies there and especially the clear beautiful water, which felt like being in a lovey big warm bath.
We would love to go back and would stay at this hotel again, from this hotel it so easy to get around to do excursions, shopping, restaurants and nightlife and when you are in your room it is so quiet considering there is so much going on outside.
Just go and enjoy!!!!!!!!

Servicei took my familey for a long break of 4 weeks the baan samui was recommened by an agent.the 1st thing on arrival the rooms were very smelly which they try to cover with air freshner. no one there spoke any english apart from the manager, they advertized high speed internet (wrong i`ve seen paint dry quicker)there were not enough lounger beds around the swimming pool or on the beach, most of the umberellas were broken, because chaweng is an island on its own it is 5 times more expencive than the rest of thailand,1 small bottle or local beer cost £2.40 and the food was not much after eating i was still hungery i am a small framed female so dont really eat that much anyway.all the rooms have thier own balcony but they all face each other so forget privacy.alot of people complained of flooding in the bathrooms, and that thier keys were not opening thier door (i had that problem and had to move 3 times) everything closed at 6 pm although they did open the restarant at the front of the hotel so that you could get a great taste of moterbike and car fumes with your meal.this was my third visit to thailand i love the place but i would never go back to samui if i ever did 100% not at the baan smaui resort.

Business serviceWe can thoroughly recommend this hotel!!! Reasonably priced and very comfortable, the hotel has a great location right in the centre of Chaweng Beach.
Shopping and restaurants are at your doorstep (in both directions are stepping outside the hotel). We stayed for 4 nights toward the end of November 2007 - definitely not long enough - and we'd love to go back sometime soon.
We at breakfast at the hotel restaurant overlooking the beach & pool area every day - breakfast was Continental buffet style (includijng some Thai food), although being an Aussie, I did bring my own Vegemite! The wait-staff were always on hand to clear plates & offer tea & coffee.
Our Deluxe double room was large and comfortable (air-conditioned) with a balcony overlooking the beautiful lush gardens, and we had our own safe in the room.
The beach is literally a step from the hotel, and hotel-provided deck chairs were readily available. Jet skis are available for hire on the beach, but they aren't associated with the hotel and don't appear to be allowed to 'park' on the beach area in front of the hotel. Vendors walk up and down selling anything from sunglasses to bedspreads - they aren't really that annoying if you just look away or say 'no thanks' firmly.
I can thoroughly recommend the Spa Varee (on the hotel site overlooking the pool area) - the girls there are great and I loved every minute of my afternoon of pampering (facial, massage, nails etc.)
We had great weather - apparently we were there in the low, rainy season in Koh Samui - we had a half-day of rain which didn't stop us from doing anything and the rest of the time it was gloriously sunny and hot (around 32 degrees).
We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we return to Samui.
