My Husband & I spent 6 nights at Kamala Dreams in Feb of this year& loved it. It was recommended to us by a friend who regularly visits Phuket & always chooses to say at Kamala Dreams.

Now we understand why!

It's a great little hotel with only about 18 rooms or so all built around the pool. The rooms are very comfortable & clean & it's a perfect location to access all the street restaurants, shopping, & nighttime entertainment without the madness of the hustle & bustle of Patong!

Jan, the owner, is very friendly & is happy to help you out with any advice on getting around, things to do etc.

The breakfast is included & you can choose from the standard eggs & bacon, pancakes etc, everything you need for a nice simple breakfast to keep you fuelled til lunch. If you get hungry again , I recommend you take a walk on the beach behind Kamala Dreams & visit Jan's wife at the first hut on the right where she can fix you up the tastiest burgers, pizzas etc.

Overall, I would highly recommend Kamla Dreams if you're not looking to stay in a resort type environment. It's simple & clean, great value for money & run by great people. We've decided to make annual trips to Phuket & will always stay at Kamala Dreams...see you next Feb!

Overall a very good hotel. Very welcoming host, helpful and informative. Nice room very very clean with everything working and staff cleaning and changing towels etc. Good sized pool for very few guests. Ground floor rooms have the pool 2 metres from the seating area outside their rooms. As others have said, its only 50 metres from beach out of the rear of the hotel and the front restaurant is on the main road for shopping, bars and restaurants. Good basic breakfast provided and great meals served at other times.
If you want a small great value for money hotel in Kamala this is it.

My husband and 10 year old daughter booked to stay at this hotel for 14 nights. (Our 2nd trip to Phuket). We have travelled extensively over many years and prefer smaller friendly accommodation instead of 5 star. We made the reservation direct with the hotel via email. The owner always responded to our email requests quickly and efficiently. Upon meeting him on arrival he was very friendly and couldn't have done more to make our stay an enjoyable one. The hotel location is fantastic - away from the hustle and bustle of busy Patong. (approx AUD10.00 tuk tuk fare one way or approx 1hr 15 min walk if you are fit and want to take advantage of the pretty scenery to Patong). The hotel is situated directly on beautiful Kamala Beach which is very clean for swimming and offers all water sport facilities. The beach offers lots of cheap eats where you can sit at a table under an umbrella, feet in sand, enjoying the view, cold drinks and delicious food!!! The 2 storey property has approx 18 spacious rooms with small kitchenettes (excellent for families) located around a lovely pool area. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained by the cleaning staff. The view from most room types was spectacular......Breakfast was tasty with a choice of eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes fresh fruits, yoghurt etc. Not buffet style but prepared as needed. The restaurant also offered yummy lunch and evening meals, specialising in seafood at very good prices. Overall the hotel and holiday was absolutely wonderful and very relaxing. We would have no hesitation in returning to this small, boutique, well priced little gem!!!

I've planned to stay for one week at this hotel, which looked very good on the web. prices are reasonable.

but then it startet with an ok room at a not so good location in the back corner of the hotel. too much noise from the swimmingpool (some local kids playing there all day, starting at 08am). then there are the jet-ski guys making a hell of a noise, bringing in their equipment. jet-skis all day.

then at about 6pm, there is a thai-bar next doors which plays loud music until 2am. no sleep until then. this is a big problem.

the location and the standard of the hotel would be perfect, but the noise is too much.

i've left the hotel after 3 days and moved to another place at nai-thong beach.

kamala dreams, sorry, but not again.
