“Best Position Ever”

We have just returned from a week staying at this lovely resort. Wish we could have been there longer. I wouldn';t really call it a resort tho' as there wasn't much to do in the hotel but you didn't need it as the moment you stepped foot outside the front entrance you were in the delightful little village of Karon. Mini-mart right next door (handy for carrying beer and water back!!)and shops and restaurants right up the main street and beyond into Kata.Also a laundry service across the road for only 70Baht per kg!! The hotel is right on the beach and you step down from the pool right onto the beach. The massage ladies on the beach are wonderful and well worth the 300Baht per hour. We had one every day!!! The rooms were fine tho' a little dark and all have beautiful sea views tho' I would ask for the 2nd or 3rd floor to get more privacy and a better view. We asked to move and it was no problem.People were very friendly and the breakfasts on the whole were good. We didn't eat in the hotel because we went to the restaurants nearby, but enjoyed a cocktail or 2 at the Pool bar at happy Hour. A 300Baht tuk-tuk ride to Patong was fun but it was very nice to come away from the dirty smelly,seedy place and home to Karon!!! Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay there again - didn't see anywhere else to match the position - tho' only small - about 81 rooms - it didn't bother us because of the location. We didn't need entertaining in the hotel itself.A lovely small intimate hotel.

Great beach location, good size rooms and great restaurant overlooking the beach. Within walking distance of many shops and other restaurants. Staff were excellent and the massages by the pool I would definately recommend. Only problem we had during our stay is we requested a King size bed and ended up with 2 king singles literally made seperately with bed linen and then pushed together! Would definatley stay here again but next time ask for a queen size bed instead.

View of the hotel from the beach

Great location right on the beach. Service first class. Rooms just fine. Big enough, clean and a great beach view. If you are looking for a mid size hotel and do not want tennis couts and other bells and whistles, then look no further than this hotel. Will stay at this place again for sure.

“Location, location”

We (2+3 kids (17/14/10) ) stay at this hotel for 5 nights at August, 2007. The location is ideal for families.
Just on the beach (on the south part of karun, almost in Kata) one of the few hotels, in phuket, that are just on the beach (like 20 m between the pool and the sea waves). In a relatively quiet area, but still very close to restaurants etc..
The view from the rooms (we had 310/311 without connecting door) is great.
Expect noise from outside (the wind, sea and A/C). Bathrooms are small but I had no problem with this. Breakfast is average. Pool is small but for 80 rooms this is what you can get. No air-condition in public areas. Hotel internet is costly, but go out and you will see internet spot (across the street and right) that is cheaper. 7/11 is 100 m to the south
Great cheap and good sea food (but also spaghetti and fries for the kids) restaurants about 200 m to the north (just after the stadium).
Overall average 3/4 star hotel (from facilities point of view) but you can not beat its location. I can recommend on it

We stayed 6 night at the Karon Beach Resort and had a wonderful time! I love this hotel... The rooms are spacious and clean and the views are awesome! It is one of the few hotels in Phuket that is actually ON the beach. I enjoyed the cocktails at the poolside bar (not really pricey.. about 140 bath for a nice cocktail). It's not a mega-resort so there is a relaxed atmosphere. I will stay there again!
