I stayed at the Sheraton in May for 14 days on a business trip to Vietnam. Had originally booked a deluxe room without anything, but upgrade to the Executive Floor for an additional 60 USD per night, which I thought was a good deal since it gave me free breakfast, drinks as well as hors d'ouevres and little things in the evening. There was also free wireless internet in the lounge, but not in the rooms.

The spreads in the lounge were rather limited, but ok in the end. Room size is decent, although closet space could be more generous. Bathoom is of a nice size with a separate shower stall. In the end, considering that the hotel is only 5 years old, there is already some renovation needed.

Very nice is the location of the hotel, as it is right on Dong Khoi which is the main shopping street of Saigon, very nice and you can do most of the things by foot. It is also very near the limited entertainment options which HCMC offers.

Overall a satsifying stay but not overwhelming, would stay again there, although I had the impression when walking through that the Caravelle Hotel has a bit better feeling.

There aren't many big hotels in a small city like Saigon and Sheraton can be considered the biggest and one of the most expensive hotel in town. The room here is hard to get and it is getting ridiculously expensive due to the high demand of business people. The room in Sheraton is clean and spacious, but for the price you might have to pay, you would expect much better than that.
For the same price, Park Hyatt hotel (which is about 5 mins walk from Sheraton) offers a much nicer room with excellent service. I would highly recommend this hotel instead!

We stayed in HCM City in the run up to Tet and enjoyed every minute.
The Sheraton was great, our room was fabulous so imagine our surpise when on the last night the duty manager contacted us full of apologies as we should have been in an upgraded room.
No worries, as the room we where in exceeded our expectations.
Not content with that a complimentary bowl of exotic fruit arrived plus a complimentary bottle of expensive wine was awaiting us in Restaurant 52
The views from the Restaurant are simply captivating, the service,food and ambience all made for a wonderful evening.
The Sheraton is well situated,the staff are all very motivated and nothing is to much trouble for them.

I spent about 3 months doing research for a trip to vietnam. I had wanted to stay at the sheraton but opted for something else intially due to costs but the other hotel was booked out..so the sheraton it was!

I was so thrilled when i finally arrived as it lived up to my expectations, plus more.

The service superb and did not waver in my 6 day stay. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff at the hotel. You do not walk past any employee at the hotel without a "hello" and warm genuine smile. The buffet breakfast is something else. Every conceivable thing to please everyone from the east to the west! Room service menu the best i have seen and tasted. High quality produce and delivered promplty.

Finally the day spa. You walk inside those doors and you feel all your stress dissappear. I had the signature retreat package. 2.5hrs of bliss for $125US with 2 therapist working on you. I am from australia and that would have cost a fortune at home.
