IT WAS OUR OWN FAULT FOR LISTENING TO A TOUT AT COLOMBO AIRPORT.WE ARRIVED Late p.m. and travelling with our 2 young sons [7 and 10]we trusted an airport tout . We paid $us25 per room for 2 rooms without aircon but with broken screens noisy fans and no hotwater. At breakfast there was a table laid with things kids like - orange juice cornflakes and so on. Our sons were rudely told they could no9t have this. Full credit to the boys they eat the cold toast and curdled jam without complaint. We found out that the normaL RATE WAS $8US SO WE HAD BEEN TOTALLY SUCKED IN.FROM THERE ON IN OUR NEXT 4 WEEKS IN SRI LANKA WAS FANTASTIC AND NEVER AGAIN DID WE EXPERIENCE THE DIRTY ROOMS TOILETS AND SHOWERS OF TNHE LAKE LODGE COLOMBO. Thankfully we stayed one night only and really enjoyed everything else apart from Lake
