Stayed at the Daphne for about nine days earlier this month and really enjoyed it. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Rooms are small and clean, bathroom is nice and also very clean. Make sure to request a sea-view, as the view is very nice, especially in the mornings and when there is a full moon. Also, the rooftop terrace offers some very nice views as well, especially during sunset. Location is very central to all the historical sites, less than five minute walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc. There is also a convenience store less than a block away, and other reasonably priced restaurants within close walking distance. Rooms also have AC/fan, which became useful on the hot summer days. Across the street from Daphne is a nice little outdoor area that serves drinks and fruit at night, while patrons watch live sporting events on an outdoor LCD TV. Free complimentary breakfast is available every morning, coffee, orange juice, cereal, meat coldcuts, cheese, dried apricots, boiled eggs, fresh cut cucumber/tomatoes, toast and some other condiments. For you Westerners out there, please keep in mind that the rooms are smaller than what you may be accustomed to. Also, this is not a 'luxury' hotel, but more of a small, quaint, mom and pop boutique establishment, which is exactly what we were looking for.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.
