Like the previous reviewer, I was waiting at the Izmir Otogar and was touted by Nazar, the hotelier. While a little wary at first, Nazar was very kind and even showed me the Lonely Planet review of the establishment in my guidebook (which also gave positive remarks about the place). An incredibly fantastic experience and the entire family that works there gave superb treatment. Nazar even had the bus stop before the Selcuk otogar and the attendant directed me down a small street to the establishment where his brother-in-law welcomed me. Wonderful, attentive service, they truly want guests to have a pleasant stay. Guests also have the chance to receive an authentic, home-cooked Turkish meal by the family which was very good and reasonable. Breakfast is fantastic (except for the Nescafé - worth paying the extra 2 lira for a Turkish coffee). Rooms are spectacularly clean and charming and fellow travelers were generally very open and friendly and eager to chat. Comfortable beds and pillows and rooms were bright and airy. Free transportation was provided to Ephesus and the center of Selcuk is literally 300 meters away (600 from the otogar). It was a very relaxing, pleasant 3 night stay that I would have loved to extend.
