The Dan Panorama Eilat is in line with other "Dan Panorama"-branded hotels. It is a small step down from the regular "Dan" hotels but a fraction of the price.
We found the DP Eilat to be a nice place to stay, especially for the price -- we paid about $135/night b/b. The hotel itself is lovely -- the atrium/lobby reminded me of the type of design that Hyatt used to be known for. Our room was quite large, especially by Israeli standards, and well-equipped with a refrigerator, a nice bathroom, and a decent selection of channels on the TV. A large balcony facing straight onto the lagoon, with side view of the airport to the left or Aqaba, Jordan, to the right. We had a rental car and were a little miffed that the garage was always "full" but there was plenty of free parking in the hotel's lot next door, the main drawback was that in the Eilat heat the car was like an oven after being parked outside for even a few minutes.
Location was fine -- being a block or so inland it was a bit less frantic than the waterfront but a quick walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants. It was a bit hard to get to the hotel the first time because even though the hotel is visible from the main road it is on a one way street and you actually have to turn the block before the actual hotel.
The pool was quite nice and we did not find it small as some other reviewers did. It was quite crowded on Shabbat but the day after, Sunday, when many of the guests had checked out it was really quite lovely.
Most of the staff at the Dan Pan were great. Check-in was smooth and the front desk staff was very helpful when we needed assistance. We ordered room service a number of times, the food was excellent, delivery prompt (except for one exception I will soon note) and I was impressed that they always reminded me of the NIS $8 (about $2) delivery charge before confirming the order.
The one time room service was slow we were even more impressed. About 25 minutes after we ordered we got a call from the room service manager explaining that the chef was not satisfied with the way one of the dishes we ordered turned out and they were going to re-make it if we did not mind. We Ok'ed this and found the meal quite excellent.
The only place service was lacking was in the dining room for breakfast. The hostess would seat you and then disappear and the waitstaff scurried about aimlessly but it was always hard to get coffee.
The main drawback of this hotel is, frankly, many of the other guests. I would estimate that 90% of the clientele when we were there were Israelis and some of them can be quite rude, pushing in front of others on the buffet line or waiting for the elevator, etc. I used to live in Israel and speak fluent Hebrew so I am used to it but my wife, from the southern US were there is more of an emphasis on politeness, found it hard to deal with.
But all in all a good experience, and quite reasonably priced by US standards.
