We spent three nights at the hotel and despite what we read in earlier reviews, we found it to be clean and well run. The breakfasts were typically Israeli style buffets with an abundant supply of salads, cheeses, rolls and eggs. We also partook of an evening dinner buffet which was excellent. We booked our 'super deluxe room' with a request for a view of the Old City, and that's what we got. It was a huge room with a small terrace and although it cost more than the 'standard' rooms it was well worth the price, especially when compared with more luxurious hotels nearby. The location is perfect, in a lovely neighborhood just a short walk from the Jaffa Gate. The hotel was overbooked with many group tours [as was all of Jerusalem, it semed.] It's best to book through the hotel rather than a third party, but even so I'd advise confirming and re-confiming your reservation.
