AWA is nothing short of a Zen masterpiece. Sleek, sophisticated, minimalistic & modern.

I had the privilege of staying in AWA last spring. I arrived drained and exhausted, ready to decompress from a fantastic yet frenetic-paced few weeks in Buenos Aires.

Desperate for down time, I headed to Punta.

Punta del Este, with its sprawling beaches, fine dining & quirky galleries served as a perfect tonic.

AWA encompasses all that is lovely and amazing about Punta.

The staff is warm, kind, genuine & extremely helpful. The restaurant's chef serves up excellent gourmet dishes. Don't get me started on the delicious brunches!

The architecture & aesthetics of AWA are superb. Incredible precision clearly paid to detail -- the hotel emanates tranquility, sophistication and understated elegance.

The hotel room was divine as well -- minimalistic yet warm due to perfectly placed splashes of color & texture. Spotless, quiet & quite stunning.

AWA's amenities and services were top notch. The spa and microcine were brilliantly constructed in terms of logistics, materials, & aesthetics. Clearly, no expense was spared!

The pool and garden were stunning & soothing to the eye, spirit & soul.

I wistfully relive the "AWA experience" while writing this review ~ sigh!

I so look forward to my next AWA stay!

As soon as we got out of the taxi, we knew we had arrived at a very special hotel. The aesthetics of the building and grounds reflected the attention to detail -- a sense of tranquility and understated elegance in a sleek, modern design.

We were greeted with warm smiles and cool champagne. Throughout our stay, every member of the hotel management and staff exceeded our expectations with regard to service.

The best part of all: every one of those people gave us the feeling that we had truly found a new friend. Through many years of traveling, this experience was unique in that sense.

Our room was excellent -- spotlessly clean and very quiet. The amenities and services were wonderful. In the well-executed spa and microcine the feel was more like that of being in a very special home rather than a hotel. Dining in the intimate bistro (while gazing out at the pool and garden) left us feeling as if we had our own personal chef turning out gourmet cuisine, paired with outstanding wines.

Bottom line -- we enjoyed the AWA Hotel so much that we extended our stay, and will be staying there exclusively on future visits to Punta del Este.

I went there in May-2006. This hotel is very new and clean. Excelent staff, and very quiet. Near Punta Shopping and good restaurant. I enjoyed !!.. You can stay there, no bad surprises!

I wish to strongly recommend this lovely new hotel in Punta del Este. It is very original, centrally located. The shopping mall is just a short distance away and you walk to the most important beaches in town.
From the very beginning the satf welcomed us and made us feel right at home. All day long we enjoyed the peace and tranquility that this hotel brought to us. Starting with the delicious breakfast, next the beautiful swimming pool, and finishing with a relaxing massage, at the Spa!
During the two days it had rained, we had fun at the microcinema and calm at the peaceful library...
Each and every single issue related with the opening of a new hotel was mitigated by such wonderful people managing the hotel. Like my husband and me love Punta del Este, we will definitely return to this comfortable hotel for our next vacation.
