I spent 3 nights at the Renaissance Kowloon on business in April. It was my first trip to Asia and I had arrived in Hong Kong from Manila. After experiencing the huge rooms at the Peninsula Manila, I was a bit surprised at how small the rooms were at the Renaissance, but understand valuable real estate is in Hong Kong. The room was clean and functional, though the one area the lack of space was quite noticeable was the bathroom. I found the shower stall to be tight quarters. But overall design/decor was updated and attractive. We dined at the breakfast buffet which was decent. The lounge is convenient, but nothing special. The best thing, in my opinion, about this hotel is its location as it is part of the New World Centre.

Wow! Talk about hospitality. They really know how to treat customers. The restaurants are also rather amazing, although unlike hotel restaurants here they tend to attract the locals as well, who can be very boisterous. If the locals like it, it must be something.

Great location. Connected to shopping centre with grocery store and the subway station and bus stops are right in front of the hotel. Minutes from all the shopping malls, planetarium, ferry station.

Room we were in was very spacious.

Great friendly staff. Club lounge was nice and I enjoyed the breakfast tea they served. I think the lounge is open til 10 pm or 11 pm. They also serve afternoon tea, which we didn't have time for since we were always out.

I have just returned from staying 5 nights in this property 5-10 April 08.
I am a Travel Agent from Australia and extremely fussy when it comes to my own personal bookings. My choice of hotel has to be of a VERY good standard, great rate and excellent location. After MUCH research I booked into the Renaissance Kowloon Hotel and was not dissappointed at all during my stay.
The location is excellent!
We stayed in a deluxe room (definately pay the extra) which was of a very decent size especially for Hong Kong. I would suggest to request a city view as the ever changing sight is interesting plus the city night lights are beautiful.
The marble bathroom in the deluxe room is lovely especailly the separate shower. The beds were hard but the pillows "heaven".
Our room was the quietest room I have ever stayed in! You could not even hear a person showering in your room! A joy not to hear people next door or in the corridor coming and going!
Not only is this an excellent property but the location "the best". Next door is a supermarket which is always handy when travelling. Also part of the New Wold complex is a wonderful coffee shop that serves yummy bagels for breakfast. This shop (Pacific Coffee Company) is located on the Avenue of Stars so your view whilst relaxing is the Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong island. Beautiful!!
With an excellent location, great rooms, great rates, supermarkets and shops attached...why would you stay anywhere else when in Hong Kong?
Any bad reviews on this property must be taken with a pinch of salt . Some people are very hard to please when reading other trip reviews!! If the airconditioning is too cold....turn it down or better still.......off!
It was also nice to be able to walk out of the hotel into an open space being the Avenue of Stars which is a rare occurrence in Hong Kong!
The Airport Express Train and free bus to/from the hotel was effecient too!
I will recommend this property to all my future clients and DEFINATELY stay there again.
