I am headed back to Hong Kong in 2 weeks to give a training class and I insisted that all the travelers stay at Langham. The location is perfect as it it directly across from the train station. Getting to Hong Kong island or anywhere is is very easy.
The hotel and staff are 5 star all the way. Nice comfortable rooms and the view from the rooftop pool is very nice. It is connect to a large shopping mall and in walking distance to all the street vendors as well.

Do yourself a favor and stay here rather than at the marina area or the island. for me this is the real Hong Kong

I stayed at Langham place on6th May 08 - 9th May 08 just b/c most of reviews from here influenced me to book this hotel.

I arrived the hotel smoothly by airport express followed with cab from Kowloon station , very convenient.

The lady at the front tried to offer me breakfast plus all day wireless for HK 250 or just wireless for HK 150 per day , I thought it was really expensive and nonesense.

Anyway after I refused she was kindly upgraded my room to corner room of 17th floor that was very stunning, spectacular with the beautiful impressive panoramic view. We really loved it while staying there for 3 nights.

The location is perfect, staff are all nice, I would fully recommend here except for wireless internet that is very expensive if you want to use with your own laptop in the room but if you just want to use free you can, they provide several pc at 5th floor free of charge.

5 stars overall!!!! The Langham Place in Mongkok has A+++ service! It is a beautiful hotel with various facitilies to suit families and business travellers.

The service at this hotel is 5 stars. The staff are always friendly, willing to help, and will give you information where ever you need. Every single person who we encountered were fantastic and provided only the best customer service.

As for the rooms they were presented beautifully and the option to choose a scented pillow for your individual needs is great. The room also has internet access in which you can connect to broadband services and there is also basic internet browsing on the tv. The other technology is the CISCO phones which allow you to get information about Hong Kong, foreign currency rates and you able to view maps on the screen. The ipod/mp3 dock was also very useful in this day in age when everyone has one. The higher levels in which were staying were great you could see a great view! Overall very impressed with the rooms!

This trip was certainly made better by the club L room - this level gives you free access to the internet, various books to read, a FANTASTIC view, and food and drinks always on hand. The best thing about this is that it is open 24hrs and there is always people on hand to help you - either for directions or different enquires.

However the other facilities are great with an extensive gym, sauna,pool, spa, sitting rooms and dining areas.

The location is great! It is in central Mongkok and there are various shops just across the street. I appreciated the accessibility to everything - for those tourists there were the ladies markets and various other attractions. The MTR is right nearby and therefore makes it easy to get to around Hong Kong.

So overall with the helpful people, the lovely rooms, the location of the place and the great facilities it combines to make it a pleasurable hotel to stay. Would defintely stay there again! 5 stars!

Booked directly with the Hotel and stayed over New Year.

Emailed them requesting a car service from the Airport and received a prompt reply. Service was very efficient at the hotel desk in the airport to the car.

The Hotel is right next to the Mongkok MTR subway and transport links are truly excellent both to the airport and Hong Kong island. Mongkok is busy, with a very high people density.

I'd booked a suite on their club floor and hence checked-in at the Club Lounge on 36th which was pleasant change from the normal hotel hassle. The club itself has great views and the service from the butlers is excellent.

The room itself is a little bit on the small size, but not a big issue. Everything was of very high quality, including the plasma tv! The restaurant on the ground floor for breakfast was excellent as was the gym/swimming pool facilities.

The only issue we encountered was that my wife suffered from food poisoning - presumably at the hands of hotel food given we'd only eaten in the hotel for the previous 24hrs.

The hotel staff responded extremely well, getting an english speaking doctor (actually he had trained as a doctor in Birmingham, UK!) and paying for him. However, a day and half was knocked out of our holiday because of this.

I've previously stayed at the JW Marriot at Admiralty, Hong Kong island which was more convenient as a base for access to both Kowloon and Central. However, Langham Place is a very good hotel (and more reasonably priced that the top hotels on the island) so as long as your happy to be put out by 10min or so travel, I'd highly recommend staying here.
