Booked the Deluxe Twin Room, comes in 2 double beds, just nice for our family of 4. We arrived at 1030am, they gladly check us in,Fast & Hassel Free. From Airport to hotel will cost you MOP60-70. Location is okay, bus stop directly infront of hotel, many eateries nearby. Room was very clean & spacious. Loved the separate bathroom ! Free Shuttle Bus to MFT & Border every 30mins.

“Nothing Special but close to Ferry Terminal”

Rio Hotel is a short 15-20 minute walk from the Ferry Terminal, although you can also catch the hotel shuttle bus service upon arrival.

It looks quite a new hotel, rooms are quite large, nicely appointed with a flat screen TV mounted on the wall, very large double king size bed and a bathroom with separate bathtub. Generous tolietries include comb, shaver and toothbrush. Room rate including breakfast for two is a reasonable $780 HKD.

The onsite casino is located within the hotel, not much atmosphere, better to try Wynns, MGM Grand and Lisboa only a short wlaking distance away. There is a luxurious "men only" health spa on the 4th Floor, which includes a sauna, large jacuzzi pool and relaxation area.

Take note that breakfast is only served between 7-9am.

“Nice hotel cuz it's still new”

The size of the room was okay. There's a LCD TV (not sure what size) attached to the wall just in front of the bed. Bathroom was big, had a shower area, and bath area.
It's not worth gambling at the casino as it feels so dull inside. It's better to visit the bigger ones. It's quite a walk to the bigger casinos.
It's quite convenient to get food around the hotel, the restaurant in the hotel operates 24 hours anyway.

“Great hotel which is close to ferry terminal”

Stayed here for 2 nights in late Sep'07 and is a very decent hotel with clean room though they are relatively small.

The hotel has a casino on its own but I did not check it out as was not there to gamble. The room package I had came with breakfast which is really good. The hotel is located close to ferry terminal and as in most hotels in Macau, complimentary shuttle bus are provided so for those who would like to save money, you can actually take the shuttle bus to ferry terminal and then hop onto any other buses to the casinos you wanted to go.Getting a cab can be a hassle as it is not really in the main street.

Across the hotels are a number of eateries that serve decent food and there is a small eatery that serve pretty authetic Taiwanese snacks. So if your package does not come with breakfast, you know where to go. You can get your supply of water just across the street and one of the renown Macau tidbits shop is also across the hotel.

“Nice hotel but will require a taxi”

My first trip to Macau from HK was particular exciting as you would to any first destination. People were telling how it is like Las Vegas etc etc,. Having arrived at he harbour we were told there are allocated shuttle bus to your chosen hotel, all free of charge. Great start and good service. The ride only took about 5-10 mins to the hotel. The infrastrature already gives you an idea the potential of Macau. Like Las Vegas? maybe in 5 years time.
Anyway Hotel Rio is a particular a good hotel, room was spacious with good facilities although the spa is strictly men only.
Overall I give it excellent because for the price of 47 GBP for my wife and child plus breakfast in a 4-star I couldn't ask for more. Taxi are very cheap so wasn''t a problem. Highly recommended.
