Tucked out of the way but in close proximity to Blok M (10 min taxi) this hotel has a small and friendly feel with great staff lovely pool and places to eat and do business. We booked 2 rooms and my mate had to check into another floor as the room stank. Rooms are tired and frayed but for the money a good bet and much more friendly than my usual stay at the super unfriendly Hilton (Sultan) Recommended and close to markets and food.

Stayed here nine days in February 2007 while on business trip. A new-ish hotel that has modern rooms and facilities, all in excellent condition. Friendly and helpful staff who willingly came and adjusted aircon, television, etc within minutes of my asking. Restaurants have a fairly wide spread within their menus, and the strangely-oriented Scottish Bar (!), complete with waitresses in kilt/skirts, has a nice range of home-style western and Scottish meals just to make the change from Asian fare. Everything about this hotel smacks of care and attention to detail and the fittings are all up-to-date European style. While food prices are what you would expect in a **** property, the tariff is very well priced down from the usual "popular" business hotels in Jakarta. All deluxe rooms have high speed broadband connection and multi-channel satellite TV capability.
