“Too much attitude, too many retired men in speedos”

Paradise Bay Beach & Watersport Resort

The resort we stayed at was Paradise Bay, which was a nice resort, but the manager, had quite a bit of attitude. He made me feel like he was doing a favor for us, and wasn't very accomodating. Due to the resort being on the other side of the island, it was somewhat difficult to get transportation to and from the resort. On our last day, we had to leave at 5:30 am to catch our flight. Although the resort had a shuttle, there was only one person on the staff who could drive it, and it was his day off on that day.

He didn't do much to help us on the next day except to inform his staff to get up at 5:30 and flag down a motorcycle for us to get to the pier. We had to drag our suitcases across a dirt road for 10 minutes to get to the main road. That didn't work very well, and a guy at a different resort was nice enough to drive his motorcycle down the road to flag a motorcycle with carriage to take us to the pier.

Also, I was quite surprised by the number of retired men that were staying at the resort. I was getting quite sick that they were all old and wearing speedo bikini's. Gross.

You also had to order your dinner at lunch so that they could go to the market and get the food.

We definitely won't stay there again.

“one of our best vacations”

Paradise Bay Beach & Watersport Resort

We just came back home from an unbelievable, beautiful holiday.
I booked the Hotel for me and my husband (just married) in the Internet.
If we arrive on Boracay we get wet from the public boat and it was already dark and then we discover that Paradise Bay was not on the White Beach (our mistake). we was really dissapointed, but, because was late already, we checked in.
After a very deep, good sleed (the matress are great) we got a breakfast, ala card, like a King.
After this we discover the Island with some mountain bikes from Paradise Bay and what should I say - after 2 days we was so happy to stay in Paradise Bay and "not" on the crowded White Beach.
The White Beach is ok for the nightlife, but you can not sleep well there. because they is party and dancing until in the morning hour.
We was lucky, because we had both - the famous White Beach as well as the still romantik like 30 years ago in the Paradise Bay.
The Service was the best of the best.
This was my best honeymoon what I ever had (because was my first - Joke)
No, really this Hotel is unbelievable - everything is wonderful and however the way to the White Beach is just a bit walking.
An awesome Vacation.

We go back there already again in March and I really recommend this place to everybody.

Ah, I forgot - we eat almost every day in the Hotel because the kitchen give us so many choices and every meal was better and better.

we were 2 couples and a family with a 6 years old girl staying at this hotel for a week from oct 27 until nov 3.

We called the hotel and booked 3 rooms ( room 11,12,13 ) with view of the pool and sea. The rooms were very nice and spacious with a nice balcony.

We arranged hotel pick up at Caticlan airport and all the way to the hotel. The woman that met us did a great job bringing us to Boracay and to the hotel.

When we arrived the hotel the Manager ( Mathias ) gave us a welcome drink and informed us about how things worked at Paradise Bay Hotel and some general info and tips about Boracay.

Mathias and Maxi the owner made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed our stay very much at this hotel and Boracay Island.

This hotel is not located at white beach but that is not a problem at all, actually just more peaceful. Its just a 10-15 minutes walk to white beach or if you dont feel like walking the hotel service van is almost always available to drop you of at white beach.

we enjoyed playing pool with Mathias and Maxi and relaxed in the bar area with some drinks and music.

Also nice to relax with a few drinks in the swimming pool bar after being at white beach for some shopping.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone that wants a peaceful, friendly hotel to stay at and doesnt mind to walk for 10 minutes to white beach.

Paradise Bay Hotel is my number 1 choice in Boracay.

Take care Mathias and Maxi, I be visiting you guys again sometime in 2007

“beautiful, romantic place”

Paradise Bay Beach & Watersport Resort

Hello I am Chris and I am travelling around the world right now.
Actually I was planning to stay around 3 weeks in this peaceful Resort names Paradise Bay.
But for some reason I haved to check out early.
How it's usual, I paid my stay with the check in, but the management was so understanding about my situation, that they give me back almost the rest of my money minus, of course, a small cancellation fee.
I appreciate this very much.
I was very sad to go, because the resort was exactly what I'm looking for - quite, romantic and familystyle.
They are not on the White Beach but even very nice and the Management is very polite and helpful.
And however - the walking distance to the White Beach was just 12 minutes with a beautiful environment.
The rooms are not expensive, but they are very high standard.
If I compared with the good Hotel's on the White Beach, they charged two or three times more for the same standard, without seaview.
My favourite place was the sundeck - the view is breathless.
I really can recommend this place (not only the sundeck) for couples or honeymooners and very much for families with children.
For singles who like Party every night is this place not the right place, they should go to the White Beach.
I really miss the Atmosphere of Paradise Bay and specially Maribel the Manager and I am sure to come back one time.
Chris

The management are overbearing and are lying all the time. We left early and lost a lot of money. Another young lady lost $500 dollars US because she couldn't stand it there. She had the hotel booked and paid for 4 weeks but stayed less than 2. There is a no money back policy. A third man from Australia hated it so much he could only stay for one day. I met him later at another hotel and he told me about his experience. He said the place was totally unprofessional.
The management are always right. They act like the place is their home and that makes the guests feel like they are intruding on the management’s privacy.
The rooms smell with sewage seeping up through the plumbing. When complaints are made, no apologies are made, and the work rarely gets done. It took a week for them to get rid of the smell in our room.
The pool is often used by a scuba-diving school, so you can't even enjoy that.
The hotel is surrounded by slums and filth.
8 minutes from white beach! Yes, if you are jogging. Regardless you have to walk through dirty smelly slums to get to the beach on foot. Taking a tricycle is not recommended as the road is full of pot holes, while the tricycles are simply not built for it. They are extremely smelly and uncomfortable anyway.
Terrible! Don't believe the photos.
The worst hotel I ever stayed at.
Get a hotel on white beach instead.
