The place is well taken cared off and everybody is very accomodating. The staff has good local knowledge and gives recommedations as to what activities are worth pursuing and where to fill our empty tummies. I appreciate that they know the guests by their names. I also like the fact that their location is away from the noise and large resorts.

i booked this hotel after being let down by the other hotel id hoped to use & im very glad i did. the hotel itself is very nice & in a very lush environment & from the moment we arrived we always had a warm welcome i had called ahead & asked them if they could put flowers & a bottle of wine in the room for my girlfriend & they looked after me very well. the rooms are very clean & the food served was very good & the staff was very helpful when they say on the site its like home from home they mean it. we got on so well with the staff my girlfriend was very sad when we was leaving . ill make sure i tell all my griends to visit if they are going to boracay id like to say a big thankyou to janet joan jean isa & the tiny terror jenny for making my holiday a memorable one & ill make sure im back very soon when im back in boracay many thanks from paul & nerizza

I have just come back from a wonderful stay at Dave's Straw Hat Inn on the beautiful island of Boracay. It was so nice after such a long journey to be given such a warm welcome...the staff instantly made us feel at home and presented us with a lovely iced tea, their own recipe. We were put in a cottage next to our friends' which was nice. The rooms were good and very clean with towels on the bed folded into flowers - a very nice touch! They were cleaned daily to a very high standard.

The bar/restaurant area was a lovely place to sit and read and have a cold beer at the end of the day. The whole place is planted with gorgeous, lush tropical plants and flowers which hang over the little pathways that lead to the different cottages. At night there are lights in the trees and along the paths and a candle is put on your terrace to keep the mosquitos away. It was thoughtful touches like this that made the stay even more pleasurable. It was also very useful to have wireless internet and an abundance of books you could borrow/exchange/buy.

The island itself is beautiful, and the inn is 3 minutes walk from White Beach which is one of the nicest I have ever seen. Because the inn is set back from the beach a little, it is much quieter and peaceful than those that are right on it. The sunsets especially are amazing.

I recommend to anyone coming to Boracay to stay at Dave's and I would definately stay there again if I came back. The staff are so wonderful and helpful and really do assist to your every need, whether it be doing your laundry or giving advice on island activities
