When I first saw the resort in the travellerspoint website, I got really attracted with the pictures because of its natural way of staying in a nipa hut house. And when I arrived there, its really cozy because of the natural style of having a vacation. I mean if someone like me who is really a traveller and had experienced luxurious accomodation, i would want to have a diffent kind of setting where I can really relax the natural way. And frendz resort have it for you. The bamboo wallings which keeps the air fresh when it enters the house.

One more thing is that the people who you can trust whenever you left valuable things inside the room. And you will not be bothered if you will loose it or not. Thanks to the people especially mel, rose, kuya perry , the husband of mel and rose and especially aries who is really handsome but a bit snobish. ofcourse to the security guard who is really concern for the tenants safety.

Rose & Steve are the best hosts! We had a wonderful time and would recommend Frendz to anyone! In fact, we will be returning ourselves.

The resort is very clean & down to earth. It’s located between station 1 & 2, nearer the market. It is not beach front but who cares, its less than 1 minute to the water and its not loud at night.

Frendz is not pretentious so don't try to throw your weight around. Take off your shoes, play with the kids, and talk with the locals. It’s Vacation! Oh, and get a massage by Ate Salve, SHE IS GOOD!

Frendz resort is indeed a nice place like all the other former guests describe in other reviews. The thing I liked the most was the secluded setting away from the beach and its noises at night, but very close to ever-present and ever-awake roosters (use earplugs!).

Even though I booked a dorm bed at 500 pesos, the friendly staff at reception will let you have the room to yourself if possible (even in high season). When you have a place to sleep in Boracay paradise for that price, you can't complain about anything, especially not when you're staying at a backpackers.

The things I thought were not perfect were the things that can be better at most backpackers, like water pressure in the shower, non-paying fellow roommates (cockroaches), lighting and mirrors in bathrooms (always way too low for a tall Dutchie like me).

But again, the staff makes it a homely, personal place :-).

This was my second stay at Frendz and it lived up to my expectations, I had a better time which I hadn't thought possible. Steve and Rose are excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them, and they really take an interest in your comfort. Service was excellent, the rooms clean and the surounts neat and tidy. I was very comfortable and being so close to the beach kept me close to all the action and Steve's local knowledge is invaluable.
I've travelled a fair bit in the Phils and the asia /pacific region and Frendz is first on my places to recommend.
