Refreshing to have polite, helpful staff after our stay in not-so-friendly Rome. Only stayed for 1 night to break up our long flight back home from our European holiday.

Advised only smoking rooms available - though they could freshen it up if too smelly. Advised only room with double bed was small corner room. We didn't mind so much as were very tired! It was indeed tiny, but had air con and was clean enough. I suspect we probably got a smaller room than what we paid for. Smokey smell wasn't the nicest but we were too tired to care.

Looked at the buffet for dinner but not really our cup-of-tea, so ordered room service with no complaints. Did not realise the drinks in the fridge were complementary as would have had more!
Concierge went out of his way to find a taxi for us the next day. Taxis are pretty cheap.
Would stay again.

The first impressions of the hotel are good, as the lobby looks very nice. However, the service left a lot to be desired. We tried to check in at 17:00, but they didn’t have a room ready, despite signs saying they had 40 some rooms available. After about a 15 minute wait, we were finally given our keys. The room was very basic, but was fairly large as we had a triple. Judging by the fire diagram on the door, the other rooms were much smaller. The location wasn’t very good—it is about a 15-20 minute walk to the nearest metro station (Novena) and the hotel’s free shuttle only runs a few times each day. The bus does stop near the hotel, so if you figure out the bus routes that is a decent alternative. Our room was quiet and clean enough, so if we got an excellent bargain, we might consider staying again.

We visited this hotel on our way back from Sydney, booked by our travel agents. (Not our first choice) The hotel is quite a way out from most locations and is sited alongside a hospital. The hotel is good and welcoming and we were pleased with our room - comfortable and welcome air conditioning, large TV and master controls by bedside etc. We enjoyed a trip into the main shopping centre on the hotels courtesy bus but they did rather "dump us" in a place we felt compeletely lost in. We got a taxi back later. Food was good and the evening late buffet was excellemt value. However we did feel very rushed in the breakfast restaurant. We - and other diners-were advised several times that the restaurant closed at 10am but at 9.45am the lights were switched off and waiters hovered as we put our eating utensils down ready to clear everything the moment we put it down. That said, the staff were generally helpful and the hotel was clean. The lady attending to the rooms was excellent and very helfpul. We would like to visit Singapore again as we could not see everything in the time available but probably we would aim to stay rather closer to the main parts. Some local shops nearby but especially useful if you like lighting shops- there were dozens!

My daughter and I stayed at this Hotel in January 2006 for 2 nights and it was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was buffet style and very good.

Our room was small but clean and had a full bathroom with a safe in the cupboard. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. We were on the eighth floor and had a lovely view out of our window.

The free shuttle bus took us to Orchard Road each morning and we took a taxi back. Taxi's are cheap and plentiful.

After checking out of the Hotel in the morning they held our luggage 'til we returned at 7pm and the concierge asked us if we'd like to freshen up before going to the airport. He gave us fresh towels and escorted us to the pool area where we showered and changed our clothes. Then he arranged a taxi for us, all without being asked and after we'd checked out!

I booked this Hotel through the internet and paid only SGD$158.00 for the 2 nights. Bargain!

Impressive Hotel, helpful efficient staff, would definitely stay there again.
