This was my 10th time at Regent Singapore. She is a classic hotel in a great location. If you can, spend a little extra and stay on the executive floor which has a very comfortable club and expanded services for guests. Like most Asian hotels, you get free drinks during designated hours (5:30 P.M. to 8 P.M.) with appetizers. What really makes this hotel, however, is its classy but comfortable decor and dedicated service to every guest. If you are on business or a family vacation, I think it is a great place to stay. Although my prior trips have all been business, I am finally taking my family to Singapore this summer and staying at the Regent. It will be a treat to show them the hotel, enjoy the pool, the lobby, and the easy access to Orchard Road. I was originally going to take the family to Sentosa but the hotels over there seem sub par and when I was there last week, the whole Sentosa island is pretty ugly because of major construction going on for a new resort/gambling casino. Bottomline, the Regent falls within my top 3 hotels I have stayed in around the world.

We have just returned from a 2 night stopover at the Regent en route from Australia. The staff and service at the Regent cannot be faulted, but we were disappointed to hear upon our arrival that the pool was closed for renovations. Not the best news for our daughters, who were eager to swim after the flight! The hotel has arranged for guests to use the pool at the hotel next door, but whilst better than nothing, this was not terribly convenient. The hotel offers a quiet refuge just off busy Orchard Rd, but is showing its age and looks like it needs a rehaul.

My husband and I stayed at the Regent for a four night stopover on our way home from a holiday in Australia. From the moment we alighted our stopover shuttle bus we were welcomed with smiling staff. Our room was beautiful with the largest most comfortable king size bed we have slept in. The room service was fantastic with lovely clean crisp bed linen changed daily, plus refreshing the room twice daily. The staff were exeptional with their helpfulness and smiles at all times. The hotel was a short walk from Orchard Road which suited us perfectly. We enjoyed the peace and quiet on our return each evening to the hotel, but the convenience each day of being close to all the great shops etc. We are hoping to visit our relatives again next year and we will not consider staying anywhere other that the Regent for our stopover in Singapore on our way home.

We stayed at The Regent on a two-day stopover on the way to Australia, and it was all we hoped for (and more) after the long flight from Paris. We were made very welcome and shown to our lovely cool room, all very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and our breakfasts there were exceptional. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of the city, yet very handy for the shops at Orchard Road and the Singapore Stopover hop-on, hop-off bus. We were a bit disappointed that the pool was being renovated, but we were able to use the one at The Traders Hotel next door. When we arrived the Singapore Stopover coach dropped us off at the side door, which meant that there was nobody there to give us immediate help with our luggage - but after I mentioned this on the questionnaire before we left I received a letter from The Regent apologising for this and promising that the matter had been addressed. What service!
Unfortunately we had booked a different hotel for the return stopover - very much regretted, as it was far from the standard of The Regent.
