We stayed at the Swissotel during a trade show for 4 days so the hotel was very busy and we landed ourselves an upgrade to a suite. The suite was amazing on the 66th floor - fantastic views across the harbour.
The furnishings were beautiful and looked like it had recently been renovated. Housekeeping/room service was prompt and nothing was a problem - even changing all the pillows until my husband found the right one.
Probably being in the suite helped, but every time I walked into the lobby there was staff asking if they could assist me and they always remembered by name!
Breakfast was a good selection in the private dining room. The day spa was as to be expected.
Overall a wonderful experience!

I've stayed at the Swissotel three times now, and it's due for some updating...which is apparently happening in stages. Rooms are fine, really spacious, but carpets are showing their age, decor needs some updating. I only know that they're renovating because they put two of my co-workers in rooms that were much newer looking than mine...you would think they'd have put me in the nicer room since I have a point of reference?

Still can't believe they charge extra to use their gym facilities. That is unheard of in my travels. I was also bummed that they downgraded their bathroom amenities from L'Occitane to some very low end/Motel 6 grade shampoo/soap. And shampoo only, mind you, no conditioner!

All in all, it's still a nice place, great location and service is good. Just be sure to ask for a room on a renovated floor when you check in, you'll be happy!

Stay at this hotel only for the location. It is located on top of a shopping mall, as well as the MRT station. Please do not expect nice and luxurious bedrooms. Breakfast serves are below average due to the high occupancy rates i.e. the hotel has one of the largest number of rooms in Singapore.

Again, only stay in this hotel for its location!

The halls outside the room on the 16th floor smelled funny - like someone threw up one night and they were never really able to remove the smell.

The rooms too had a funny smell - it went away after the airconditioning was on, but it wasn't pleasant.

The rooms are clean. The service is good - I think sometimes too good. They have staff at every corner almost too eager to ask you if you need help.

The food is not bad - I was here for an event, so all I had was catered from the hotel.

The bathroom shower leaked water to the floor, because the bath didn't have proper drainage. The water seemed to travel around the bath sidewalls and onto the floor, and that made the floor wet. Room service cleaned it up by the time I got back though.

The Equinox restaurant on the 67th floor has a breathtaking view of the city. Simply excellent.
