This hotel is by far the best hotel i have ever stayed in!

I and my boyfriend booked one nite under the Valentine Day promotion. At check in, we were personally walked to our room by one of the reception staff. There is a bouquet of flowers already waiting for me in the room! We were given the Quay room which overlooked the Merlion and Singapore Flyer. At night when the different colour night lighting comes on, the scenery is breathtaking. My boyfriend and I spent a good deal of time at the balcony chating while admiring the scenery...

The room is beautiful with a very spacious bathroom. The bathtub can easily fits two person..We were given a selection of bubble bath scent to choose from and tealights. There is a wide flat sreen tv, DVD player and a bedside remote control operating the lights, curtains, clock & alarm

The pool is small but adaquate. It overlooks the beautiful Boat Quay and Singapore river. Great for relaxing...

Next we enjoyed a in-room four course dinner. The food is good.. When we requested for an extra chair, the staff is happy to bring one up promptly.

The location is also great. It is very near to the Boat Quay or Clarke Quay which is one of Singapore's famous nightspots. It is also only 10mins walk to major shopping centers like the marina square and suntec city (also a convention hall) and arts center like the Esplanade. Or you can just choose to walk a stroll by the the marina bay and enjoy the seaview..

The breakfast buffet is only fair.

Overall, my boyfriend and I had a wonderful and fanastic experience staying at this hotel. All the staff we met are very friendly. Although this hotel is more expensive than most other hotels in Singapore, the service, room, down to amenties received is worth every extra penny. We truly felt pampered...

“The Reviews Here Are Well Deserved!”

Fullerton Hotel Singapore

A definite must stay travel destination. Historic and filled with culture dating to the 1920’s. The stately columns give it a distinguished feel and the lighting adds to a rather majestic feel.

I found the service to be unsurpassed here. If you asked for the gift shop, you were not just pointed in the general direction; you were taken there. I had gone shopping, and the doorman insisted on carrying my packages to my room for me. I asked for change for tipping; they RAN (literally) to get it for me. It was actually a bit overwhelming and bordered on excess!

Outstanding attention to detail was present throughout the property. There are antiques and artwork scattered throughout the property. The gardens were well maintained. The guest rooms are spacious and well decorated with high-end furnishings and linens. Bed was comfy, although the comforter could have been a little heavier for my liking. They do have a “pillow menu”, and I could have asked for an extra comforter. The website states that bath amenities are Bvlgari. They were not. They were Molton Brown~ still quality amenities.

The location along the water is dreamy and nice to be able to walk direct from the hotel onto the river walk and see all of the sculptures.

This hotel is billed as a 6 star hotel. I could compare it to many 5 star hotels I have stayed in. I suppose the historic nature and attention to small things could be the reason why it is rated 6 stars. I felt that some nice wool rugs and decorator pillows could have made it feel a little less austere.

I do have to agree with the guest who stated that the executive club was hit or miss. I enjoyed the Marriott Orchard Executive Club much better. If you are all about pomp and circumstance, you will enjoy this very much. I tend to like to pick and choose when I want to dress up. It felt a bit more like a requirement here.

I am including photos of the room for your review.

“Excellent but dissapointed at the hotel food”

Fullerton Hotel Singapore

I was in Singapore for business and stayed at the Fullerton because its close to my office building. Service was excellent, staffs were friendly and helpful. In my personal opinion food wasnt the greatest at the Fullerton. I tried a variety of things but none appear to be exceptional. There are many local food outlets around which makes great food at a fraction of the cost.

“Excellent Location, Luxurious Hotel”

Fullerton Hotel Singapore

Selected the Fullerton for a two day stay in Singapore based largely on the location near Chinatown and the river and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the exterior of the building is and the quality of the rooms. The lobby and rooms rate favorably with any Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, etc. that I have stayed at and the pool overlooking the river and Boat Quay is a great antidote to Singapore's heat and humidity (it would be nice if they had a bar by the pool, but they will deliver you anything you want).

While Raffles has a bit more historical charm, and is also a beautiful hotel, I'm glad we selected the Fullerton. The distance between the hotel is easily covered, so even if you're primarily interested in the Orchard Road scene the Fullerton would be a good pick.

Definitely eat at the Fullerton brunch whether or not you stay at the hotel.

“Luxury hotel in landmark building”

Fullerton Hotel Singapore

4 of 5 stars
Sydney, Australia
Jan 29, 2008

Spent a night at the Fullerton in January 2008. It's a former colonial-era post office that has been extensively renovated for use as a luxury hotel.

The staff were efficient, pleasant and attentive at check-in and check-out, with no major problems in service noted. I'd read some reviews on Tripadvisor that had commented on the service.

The room was large, with a very large bathroom. Bed and other furniture was comfortable. The bathroom has two doors, allowing circulation through the space; the WC has a separated door. Overall it felt spacious.

The pool is good, and from the terrace, there is a pleasant view of the river. It's a surprisingly shallow pool, given it's length and breadth. The gym is good, with a range of resistance and cardio machines. It will allow a reasonable workout for most. Dumbbells go up to 50 pounds.

The hotel is located in a pleasant riverside site. As most have mentioned, it's right on one of the quays. It's right across the river from the excellent Museum of Asian Civilisations (which I highly recommend).

No major negatives, other than it can take a few minutes for a taxi to arrive, and it's not particularly convenient to Orchard Rd.

We had a corporate rate, which ended up being around 50% of prices listed on Tripadvisor. At the corporate rate, it's obviously good value, but I don't know that I would have felt it particularly good value at retail rates. Whilst I enjoyed my stay, I'll probably stay at the Stamford next time (which has a better gym, and is closer to Orchard Rd, Raffles and so on).
