We had an awful two nights here before we moved to another hotel. Like many hotels in South America, this is a secure complex. To get in, you need press the buzzer & Reception staff will unlock the door. The rooms are in a square shape on three levels, all around a central open-air courtyard. This is pretty, but very noisy. All the corridors are wooden, and footsteps & voices echo around at night. Also, we were unfortunate to be given a room right behind Reception, which meant we were woken by the telephone & security door buzzer all night (this would affect Rooms 2, 3 and 4, so try to avoid these rooms). Our bathroom window opened to the Reception desk, so we had a choice of ventilation or privacy, but couldn’t have both!!
