“Greatness in Annapolis!”

We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in Annapolis, MD. A town that was new to the both us we reasearched many options and found the Royal Folly B&B.
This B&B was so wonderful, I ended up sending the thier web page link to over 50 family and friends. Ed and Pat Mullen are outstanding hosts and the most outgoing, welcoming people we have ever crossed pathes with in our travels. The breakfast is just enough, plated service with champagne brunch on Sunday and crab souffle that is just out of this world. We plan on returning and may make it an annual visit the stay was so terrific. If you go to Annapolis, MD, make the right decision and stay at the Royal Folly B&B.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Royal Folly for the weekend of our wedding and we loved it!! Pat and Ed (the owners) made our wedding weekend that much more enjoyable--they are a lot of fun, the breakfasts were amazing, and the place is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back!

“Romantic get-away in a historic town”

My wife and I had a wonderful and romantic stay at the Royal Folly celebrating our second anniversary. Room was spacious, the bed like a dream and we enjoyed a private entrance to the patio. There was also complementary Port wine that was also a great touch! The location is ideal for really seeing and experiencing Annapolis. All the sites; Naval Academy, shops and restaurants are within walking distance and the owners Pat and Ed provide generous hospitality. Oh, and can't forget Samson the cute little dog! We'll definately return again and provide referals to friends and family.

“Loved the Royal Folly”

Very enjoyable three-day stay at this impressive Bed & Breakfast. Location was great, out of the high traffic area but extremely convenient to everything in the city. Parked the car on Thursday and did not use it again until we departed on Friday. Room was beautiful, comfortable, and a good value. Breakfasts were multicourse, haute cuisine, and delicious. Hospitality of the hosts was incredible: Very responsive to any and all requests and exceeding our expectations at every turn. Other guests were repeat visitors and we now understand why. Felt more like staying with family than in any hotel we have ever experienced. Will definitely stay there again!

“Royally Romantic Relaxation.....Really!”

Wow! My wife and I just spent a weekend at the Royal Folly bed and breakfast and were delighted in every way. We are very busy professionals and booked rather last minute. We had wanted the Queen's chambers but it was booked, so we stayed in Lord Dana's suite. May I say we had a wonderful romantic and relaxing weekend, we felt like royalty...

From the very beginning proprieters Ed and Pat Mullen made us feel at home. They were quite friendly, knowledgable and helpful when it came to planning our trips out. Right down to making reservations. Their recommendations for resturaunts were excellent. Incidentaly, you must eat at Galway Bay during your stay. Not a block from the house and absolutely delicious Irish food. Great shopping along the way.

The home itself is lovingly restored and comfortably furnished. The house has a lot of character, beautiful architectural detail and an interesting history. Our room was clean, spacious, well decorated and sported a very compfortable pillow top matress on which I got the best two nights sleep in my life. A complimentary CD of romantic music was a nice touch. We spent early mornings sipping coffee on the balcony overlooking the campus of St. John's University. All in all we were quite pleasantly surprised by Lord Dana's suite, it was perfect. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Hot coffee was served promptly each morning, followed by a gourmet delight such as crab frittata. We enjoyed mingling with the other guests, who were couples like ourselves.

The location is an ideal 5 minute walk to Main street shopping and eating. Its another 5-10 minutes to the City dock. Annapolis is quite charming and scenic. Town was easy to navigate and not overrun with tourists. We expected more of a crowd given that it was a holiday weekend. Parking was convienient at a garage located one block away which is free on weekends. If you are like us, in love but too busy to enjoy it, you simply must get away for a weekend at the Royal Folly.

Thanks again Ed and Pat, we'll see you soon, A and M C

P.S. thank you too Samson... woof!
