I stayed here for two nights with my new husband! It is a nice looking structure but a bit dated and old, I felt it really needed a face lift. Our room was dull and drap. One night, Two days would be loads as there are only 2 activitys to do - jeep safari and boat safari. the dining area was a bit dirty, it needed a good cleaning or a total face lift. the staff were lazy and slow to do anything. at breakfast the fruit bowls had many wasps in them and buzzing around the food, I said it to the chef but nothing was done. In the evening there is nothing to do as there is no in house music or band, the bar is dead and Kasane itself is a kip, you wouldnt venture out into the village. this was the last leg of our honeymoon and it was dispointing. Although the safari both jeep and boat were very good, where we got to see all animals except the rhino...we have some wonderful photos of the animals but I wont be back EVER to stay in Chobe Marina Lodge.

This place, right on the Chobe River, is so visually beautiful it made our safari vacation extra special. I was so impressed with the beautiful wooden main lodge, the spacious thatched-roof bungalows, the gorgeous flowers and birds on the grounds. The CML provides so many activities that there is always something fun to do – jeep rides, river safaris. The staff is friendly. Part of the trick is getting there, but once you arrive, it is a splendid place to spend your vacation. The simple town of Kasane is just outside the entrance with grocery stores, craft shops, post office, bank, etc. Watch out for the warthogs that seem to have the right-of-way.

we got very nice game drives and nice rangers. the number of animals to be seen is tremendous. however you dont feel as a guest in the hotel as the personel is not educated and when asking questions at the reception or activity desk you get rude answers. there must be better places.
