“wonderful hotel in the heart of downtown Siem Riep”

We stayed at the Bopha Angkor for 5 nights in April, and our experience was wonderful. We had chosen this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews, and because it was also relatively inexpensive for a hotel with a pool. Given that we were touring in the hottest of months, the pool seemed like a good idea. At $53 a night, we paid a little more than the posted average of $38 but we did have a deluxe room. Though the room did not actually have any additional features, it was large with a large bed, and was lovely. The bathroom had a shower only, was clean and well maintained.
The staff was friendly, accomodating and extremely courteous. The restaurant has an elegant feel with garden seating as an option. We ate several times here, and while inexpensive by western standards, dinner was a little more expensive than some others in Siem Reap which were also good. The food, and the presentation, however, was the best we had. One meal, with a bottle of wine....and 3 courses, came to $32 for two. Breakfasts were included in the price of the room; the options were there for eastern or western style breakfasts....we tried all the options and they were all wonderful. Each included a plate of fresh fruit.
The pool is lovely; cool salt water, with some options for shade on the loungers. Walk to the market area was about 5 minutes ; taxis and tuk tuks were available outside the front entrance if needed for longer trips. On the day we checked out, we were unsuccessful in going standby on an early flight; hotel staff welcomed us back to spend the day at the pool while waiting for our next flight. We would definitely return.

“Loved it!”

Bopha Angkor Hotel & Restaurant

Had a great stay here when visiting the temples. Lovely location right next to the river, gorgeous gardens and pool area, HUGE bed and good food. Staff very friendly, only downside was pre-arranged arrival pick-up didn't materialise, but they billed me for it anyway. Not to worry, met my driver, Mr Thy, as a result and was well looked after for the duration. Highly recommended, an absolute bargain and I will definitely stay here again.

“Best Food I've Ever Had!”

Bopha Angkor Hotel & Restaurant

Apr 17, 2008

we stayed here recently and just wanted to let everyone know how much we enjoyed the stay

the food was the best I've ever had, great kymer food to die for!

lovely open garden setting, very peaceful and the hotel only a few minutes walk into town

why not hire bikes from a hotel at the back of this hotel (come out the hotel, turn left down side street and about 100m on the left at a crossroads) you can hire a bike for the day for us$5 I think and proceeds go to charity-we cycled to ankor wat, took about an hour from memory, but it's flat so easy going and you see so much more

hotel rooms a little tired but the restuarant & food more than make up for this

one of the few places I would revisit, so praise indeed!!

Great little hotel. My review reinforces the few recent reviews. I stayed for four days. Very comfortable room. The restaurant was very good. Friendly, professional staff. Good location, walking distance to central, but far away to avoid all of the noise. I will go back.

“Great affordable Hotel!”

I chose this hotel based on good trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed! Great small property in a central location. The restaurant was actually the best I went to in Siem Reap, and I did try quite a few different places. The service there was also very good.

The rooms are nice, not amazing, but they have pretty cool decor and are clean. The staff is helpful and there are always plenty of Tuk-Tuks outside to whisk you around the city.

The pool also happens to be very nice. I think it is salt purified which is much better than chlorine.

The best part is how cheap it is! $50/night for a room in the Bopha is definitely worth it.
