Clean good value rooms in Siem Reap. Good location on a quiet side street...well quiet until this crazy music speaker starts up at 6am and sounds a bit like a muezzin. Really great food, yummy local dishes and international fare. Super friendly and helpful staff. Well recommended.

I have recently checked out of the Villa Siem Reap to stay in another place . I stayed in the tree-house which is a seperate property away from the main hotel. But the tree-house was a poor place to stay and overpriced for what it was: the bathroom flooded into the living room after each shower, noisy air conditioning, and foot steps from people upstairs made it difficult to sleap, and despite the name it is in a sub-urban area of town with several shacks and houses around. It is far from the town centre and unlit so taxi/tuk-tuk drivers find it hard to find.
There are a lot of good places to stay in Siem Reap for a similar price so I would recommend staying elsewhere.

“Excellent package deal”

The Villa Siem Reap

We chose The Villa because they offered what looked like a good 2 night/2 day package, which included a guide, driver and tuk tuk. We weren't disappointed. The staff at this guest house are just great. They can all speak some English, some very well. All are gracious and helpful.

The rooms are very pleasant, and the restaurant we found to be very good, and reasonable value. We thoroughly enjoyed their Khmer Tastings evening, the food was simply delicious, and good cocktails too. They have a nice outdoor lounge/restaurant area. Location is also perfectly fine.

The hotel has a range of tour activities available and we liked how invested they seem to be in community development.

“A wonderful little hotel”

Excellent location can walk easily to downtown, post office, old & new markets. Restaurants & internet cafes were numerous and close by. The rooms were clean and good sized, with air conditioning, shower, plenty of towels, mini bar & fridge (water, beer, etc.). The best part of the stay was the helpful staff. They were all Cambodians, spoke very good English, and helped make arrangements for a guide to Angkor Wat and transportation to the airport. The free daily breakfast consisted of just toast & coffee. Laundry service was available. The stairs are quite steep and narrow so and there is no elevator. If this is an issue, request a lower floor. The inn had a very nice bar and restaurant with a very pleasant seating area. One night we were there a Thai wedding was being held in the inn and it was quite noisy. However, they finished early enough not to be a problem. This is an excellent place to stay in Siem Reap. The total cost for two people, two nights including lodging, laundry, our bus fare to Phnom Penh, and a dinner was 110U$.

“Outstanding.”

Just realised I had forgotten to review this wonderful place where me and my girlfriend stayed almost exactly one year ago while visiting Siem Reap for a week.

Being that is was a year ago details have faded a little, but we both enjoyed our stay at The Villa immensely. Room was spacious - clean GREAT, service FANTASTIC, breakfast OK, BBQ lovely. And a special praise to our driver that week the wonderful Mr Han Mony who went out of his ways to give us a memorable vacation. It really is hard to put into words how helpful and caring he was. We can reallly recommend him as a guide/driver if you stay at The Villa

If i'm not mistaking I think we had the "3 Night Super Value Package" which we thought was of excellent value. Got to see a lot of temples (almost got a little exhausting in the end) and other nice things around Siem Reap.

Short version: Don't hesitate - book The Villa, you won't be disappointed :-)

    • Liked — Rooms, service, food, driver...everything.
    • Disliked — No pool, that's probably the one thing this place is missing...but there are pools nearby, so even that isn't too bad.
