What a treat. Indeed it is very zen. No cushy carpeting here. Everything is clean, concrete, efficient, but quite comfortable. Design of the hotel built into a hillside makes you want to explore the hotel's ramps and byways. Our room had a fabulous view of the lake. Away from what there is of town, quiet, serene, totally in the spirit of the area. Delicious food - dinner and breakfast. We were only there for one night, and it simply wasn't long enough. If you get a chance on your way to Torres del Paine, this is a very special place.

We stayed at this hotel in Oct 2006 during a tour of Patagonia. Great location if you are going to see Torres del Paine. Loved it! Fabulous and comfortable art-directed rooms in modernistic, almost Japanese style. It is different since it is built out of rammed- earth bricks and layered right into the hillside. Literally low-profile, you could almost miss it driving by. Great views of the sound and mountains. Very picturesque. The owners are very nice but not fluent in English. You can get by though. They serve a delicious breakfast in a sunny cheerful dining room. Dinner is served too, also very qood quality. You feel close to nature here. I wish we could have stayed there longer. I want to go back! Eat at the steak restarurant in town they recommend, it is out of this world (cant remember the name but they are known for grilled meats -something like Patagonia Grill)

Thoughtfully designed eco-hotel, built into the hillside. Rooms have great views of the Ultima Esperenza Sound, but if you are looking for tvs, radios and action, there are other more appropriate choices.
Clean, comfortable and well-designed. Great place to finish a book. Staff does their best to help, but sometimes language (their lack of English, my lack of Spanish) was a barrier. Breakfast buffet was quite nice and served early for Chile (7 am) to accommodate those leaving on full day excursions (most the guests). Hotel is too far (maybe a mile) to walk back and forth to town comfortably, but there is super taxi service in Puerto Natales for which we waited no more than ten minutes.

The hotel is fairly close to town and is has been built so as to blend into the surrounding areas. Being located a bit outside the town makes a nice change from the other hotels. Hotel has a lots of windows which look out onto the sound and a nice bright open dining room. Rooms are nicely laid out and in a minimalist style.Staff are friendly. Highly recommended
