“Nice place!”

Resorts Casino Hotel

Just got back from Resorts with a few friends and was pleasantly surprised with the hotel as it was rather nice. Having read the reviews beforehand, I was a bit skeptical but kept an open mind as all tastes and expectations differ.

Anyhow first impressions, the outside looked very grand and the inside was OK, just a bit dated. (Mind you Resorts is one of the oldest hotel). The staff were all very friendly which is nice.

I'm not a gambler so cannot comment whether the casino was any good, but any casinos can be good if you win right? Well I personally felt that the place lacked atmophere, it just wasn't very lively. Obviously we can't compare Atlantic City with Vegas but it was actually quite quiet for my liking, I expected it to have more buzz. Maybe it's just the time we went, the low season?

Ok as for the other aspects:

Rooms: Very spacious and the beds (we had a standard 2 double bed room), were very comfortable. It was clean and adequate as you don't spend all your time in the room, It's just a place to sleep! We stayed on the 4th floor with a ocean view, very nice indeed!
The only draw back was they didn't have a hairdryer, which is odd for a big hotel like this!
Generally everything was fine.

Food: We ate in 2 of the restaurants first one being the Asian Spice, which I thought had nice food but a bit pricey for what we had. Then again it is a hotel restaurant and not your local chinese. Nice decor with a very nice seaview, so not bad.
The other was Gallagher's Steakhouse which had very nice food and the portions were huge! I dont eat beef but there were plenty of other choices. Stylish decor and friendly staff so again good!

All in all I enjoyed my stay but if I was to go to Atlantic City again I would try one of the other more lively hotels.

“Short and Sweet Stay at the Resorts.”

We drove back from Florida to NY and decided to spend a night in A/C. We chose Resorts because the hotel we usually stay (Bally's) (and many other casinos) were already booked. It was last minute so we understood and to boot a Saturday night. Resorts gave us a beautiful clean and spacious room in the Ocean Tower. It had a nice bathroom and large walk- in closet, clean bright drapes all around nice comfy King Sized Bed and we were settled.
We gambled all night and had fun but no big wins here. Machines weren't so tight but we just didn't get the winning ones that night. We play mostly Video Poker anyway, and our Royal Flush was elusive that night.
In the morning after a few hours rest, we had breakfast in the cafe on the main floor. It was okay nothing earth shattering. Waitress was a little weird (looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there) but other than that, we encountered warm hospitality, by the front desk and otherwise. At the Players Club desk, my husband got a hat and jacket with Resorts imprinted on it. A promo they were running for new sign ups. Check the promos for new sign ups for other casinos player clubs, sometimes they give away nice prizes. We would definitely go back.
Happy Trails!

“Nice Place- Friendly”

Was here recently, mid-week for 1 night. Haven't been here since they opened many years ago. The hotel has been renovated and done very nicely. I stayed in the old section, which does not compare to the new tower. The paint color and circus like carpet in the halls left something to be desired. But if you're able to get past this the room was large w/2 bathrooms and very clean and comfortable. I believe this was a mini-suite. The beds were comfortable as well. Breakfast here was good. The seating host was extremely accomodating and we found she has been working here for over 25 years. Had a great time and mid-week you could get to any table or slot without a problem. No crowds. The staff was friendly and accomodating. No complaints. I would go again but next time would request the new tower.

“The New Tower , Bread Sticks, & The 8.99 Buffet”

The New Tower is very nice but we had to call for wash cloths, nice tvs with AV inputs so the kids can watch dvds or play there playstation.
The Swimming Pool is on the ocean tower & closes too early. Steel Pier is close to the hotel.
They changed the menu & food they use to have (chicken & steak wraps both gone my kids even noticed the fries sit under a heat lamp like McDonalds& the burgers are diffrent) in both locations they dont care about the guests.
I suggest eating at Showboat or Ballys Wild West Buffets they are very good
Or go to Olive Garden or Red Lobster in Mays Landing both worth the drive:) if you have children with you.

“New Hotel Tower at Resorts is great!”

Resorts Casino Hotel

Being a member of the Resorts players club, I gamble there a few times a year--but not a lot of money. So I get free room offers (mid-week only) for Resorts. I took them up for a free room on a Thursday night. When I checked in, I asked for the Rendezvous tower, which is the new (1-year old) hotel tower at Resorts.

These rooms are beautiful! They are very large hotel rooms, with extremely large bathrooms! I had a semi-comfortable king-sized bed, a lazy-boy type chair with ottoman, a desk with chair, and a very large cabinet for the TV, safe, mini-fridge and closet and clothes-drawers. Large windows look out either north or south.

The bathroom is awesome! A shower stall big enough for 5 people, high shower-head with plenty of water pressure. There is a separate "room" with a door for the toilet, and a double-sink vanity. There is also a shorter "vanity" (no sink) that could be used as a make-up desk. All this in a tastefully decorated marble design.

The elevators in this section are new, fast and clean. And you have to show your room key which makes it feel pretty secure.

The room was "comped", but in NJ, you still have to pay the taxes on the room, which is about $9 (nine dollars!). I'm sure the regular rate on this room could be over $100 (more on weekends!).

I didn't win much in the casino, so I'm sure that my gambling more than paid for the room, but at least I had more $$$ to gamble with, not having to pay for the room!

The front-desk person was very friendly, attentive and knowledgable. My pleasant requests were taken care of promptly and correctly.

If you haven't been to Resorts, I suggest checking them out! Join their players club, gamble once or twice, and look for the free room offers!
