“Great place to stay at off-peak price - $59 per nite”

I stayed at this hotel mid-week in January and got a great price - $59 per nite. For this price I was very pleased. The room was very large, had an ocean view, jacuzzi in the tub. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is also a decent indoor pool.

Downside, rooms and hotel are outdated, need renovating, hairdryer in the room didn't work, and the hotel is the last one at the end of the strip, would have preferred a more central location.

Overall, I thought this was a great value but will probably never go back on a weekend to the inflated rates.

“The 80s Called and Want Their Hotel Back”

Hilton Casino Atlantic City Resort

Like staying in a museum dedicated to early 80s vintage decor. Came down with the girlfriend over xmas for a few nights to gamble in Atlantic City. The city itself is on a tear- great new restaurants, fancy new shops, new train staton, convention center, Borgata expansion, outlet mall, etc.. however this AC Hilton is just a total time warp.

Got a comped room through a connection which was nice. Looks like they are slowly doing a rooms renovation. Some floor hallways are a horrible black/gold/purple motif which is just a joke, ours was a little more muted tan. Our room itself looked like it had been spiffed up as well. No flat screen or stylish furniture yet, but the armoire and seating looked newish and a little more contemporary and the bathroom was actually very nice, good size and marble. The room itself was a great size, with nice bay windows. The rest of the hotel's public space was a terribly garish white and black and gold with a lot of those gold lightbulb fixtures hotels used to put in atriums and on glass elevators. So tacky.

Have had dinner at the Oaks Steakhouse which isn't too bad, and brunch this time at Horizons, the 24-hr place. Brunch was fine and service decent enough but the decor of the place is just so cheesy it stinks. Didn't try the hotel spa or fitness center or any of the other restaurants.

Casino is small but dealers were pretty friendly. Location is at the very south end of the pier near the city line with Ventnor which is not ideal for visiting the Borgata (awesome place, see my other review), but at least its near Tropicana which is a pretty good place (had dinner at the Palm there which was a total treat).

Hope to not have to stay here again, place needs major rehab, dragging the rest of Atlantic City down.

“Ok But Have To Wait”

Hilton Casino Atlantic City Resort

Had a wonderful "deluxe" room on the 16th floor. Clean, and deluxe indeed with a jacuzzi etc...The coffeemaker was for one cup at a time, and the cups were...paper cups! But that's the only thing bad in a really nice room.

The truly maddening thing was waiting in line for 45 minutes for a room that we had reserved. And then we had to wait 2 hours before we could go to the room that was being cleaned. I'd go back though, the price was right, and the room was right.

“A Bad Choice”

Stayed here once again, and another disappointment. The food is the morning was terrible, and I could hear my neighbors screaming all night. I called the front desk and they told me it was out of their control. What is that? Avoid

“Not the Atlantic City I hoped for”

We chose the Hilton because it was said to be on the "cleanest, nicest, quietest" end of the boardwalk with good beach access. We went early September so we could still go to the beach without lots of kids around. The Beach in AC is not a swimmer-friendly beach. It's dirty and there is garbage everywhere, so pick a different destination if you want good beach fun. Our check-in at the Hilton was fast and the woman was friendly and helpful. We arrived btwn 2-3pm and our room wasn't ready but a simular room was so we took that. We were in 1504 on the 15th floor on the opposite side of the boardwalk than all the action.I did notice that the other 2 days we stayed there were HUGE lines waiting to check-in. The hotel itself is very fake looking and cheesy. There is gold slapped up everywhere and fake marble columns, but nothing looks very well taken care of. Also a warning for younger travelers. I'm 21 and I swear to you, I was the youngest guest by 30-40 years. Our hallway was mirrored, which is gross and the room was okay. The carpet was my biggest complaint, I was afraid to be barefoot. The rest of the room was fine, the bathroom was big and it was clean. The casino was good. Smaller than some of the others, but still fun. The worst thing about the Hilton was the restaurants!!!! Don't even bother! I promise you, you will thank me! 3 of the restaurants weren't open midweek, 2 restaurants were in the same place/ with same menu, and the prices were rediculous. $5 for a yougurt-$15 for a fish sandwich. And the service was terrible with very little english-speaking staff. Eat at the smaller places along the boardway, way cheaper and better food. The best part of the Hilton was the Dizzy Dolphin bar. Really fun bartenders and free drinks if you play the machines in the bar. We had a great time there! If I ever went back to AC I would stay at either Tropicana or Harrah's both were very nice with younger and friendlier people. I would not recommend the Hilton to anyone!
