We drove onto the property and I immediately phoned to inquire about their cancellation policy. Too late, they need 24 hours notice and it was too late to cancel the reservation. We got a room key and it was even worse. The room hadn't been vacuumed in several days, the bathroom door didn't shut, numerous coats of paint over dirt, hem was ripped out of the curtains, etc. etc.
I called Choice directly and was told"Tough luck" they're independantly owned and operated. Inspections are performed yearly my eye.
The desk clerk offered us another room and it was exactly like the first without the awful odor. The walk to Boardwalk and casinos their site claims is more like a lengthy hike.
The free continental breakfast was not all tempting as we were sure insects had crawled all over it in the darkness.
We've done a lot of traveling and this is by far the absolute worst place we've ever spent the night. If only I could do it all over again with the knowledge I have now!

“Great room, location & staff!”

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a romantic getaway during Easter weekend and had a great time. Check-in was very smooth, we arrived around 5:45pm and had no problems getting our room which we had reserved through he Choice Hotels site. We even requested a late check out, which was nice. Our room was very clean and modern, we even had a 2-person jacuzzi and fireplace!! The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was nice and roomy, complete with an oversized stand-up shower stall with 2 little seats in it! We liked the room so much, we decided not to go to the boardwalk and casinos until after we checked out the next day. Instead, we ordered delivery for dinner and stayed in. We didn't actually walk to the boardwalk, but it didn't seem like it would be that bad. The property is about a 1/2 mile from the Hilton, I believe. That's the closest casino. If you're game for a nice walk and the weather's good, I would recommend it. And the hotel is not located in a bad area. But as other reviewers have pointed out, I would use caution walking around at night anywhere in the city. The deluxe continental breakfast was good, we had make-your-own waffles, bagels & cream cheese, muffins & juice. Check-out was basically smooth, although there was a slight problem with my late check-out request. She said it was not in the computer but it was. So really, no major problems. I would definitely stay here again. For the price, the location, and the amenities, there really is not a better deal in A.C.

“Bad Service”

Quality Inn and Suites Casino City

Pennsylvania
Sep 27, 2007

I made reservations on a disocunt internet site. I had 2 rooms and my reservation guaranteed that they would be either 2 double beds or 1 king bed in each room. I called the hotel in the early afternoon requesting that both my rooms be non smoking 2 double bed and next to each other. The front desk clerk told me that is exactly what they gave me and there would be no problem. We arrived around 11pm to find out we had smoking rooms 1 had 1 king bed the other had 1 double bed and they were not anywhere near each other. Complaining to the front desk was useless because they said room types are not guaranteed and what did I expect them to do so late on saturday night. After talking to the manager and the hotel booking company the following day the manager told me he instructs his staff to NEVER promise any room type or smoking preference especially on saturday nights. Also wholesale discounted rooms are given "last preference" and they feel that since you are already getting a low price on the room it doesn't matter what room they give you as long as they give you something. So Beware they don't want to please their customers the only thing this hotel cares about is getting your money. The manager also told me he does not ever give refunds once he has your money.

“jacuzi room is very nice!!! :)”

Quality Inn and Suites Casino City

Sep 3, 2007

i read some bad reviews, but was getting a bit desperate since i was going on labor day weekend but was on a budget. i figured if i asked for their best room, i wouldn't regret it as much. i have to say, i was really surprised by the cleanliness and beauty of the room my husband and i were in! our room had a king sized bed, jacuzi in the room, full bathroom with nice bathtub (for two ;))...it even had a microwave, hair dryer, fireplace (how romantic!), refrigerator and more! for $150 for that room on a holiday weekend, i find it very well worth it~

“Very comfortable friendly stay....................”

Quality Inn and Suites Casino City

4 of 5 stars
Long Island, NY

I got married in Atlantic City on 7/13/07. At first I had booked a hotel right on the boardwalk one of the more expensive hotels. After most of my guests had booked at this hotel I changed my reservation. We stayed for 6 days and I must say I was very pleased. We had the Jacuzzi suite which was nice and very clean. We had about 9 rooms booked and everyone was happy with the stay. The staff was so friendly and the check in was a breeze with no problems with any reservation. The breakfast is a great addition to the stay. Then pool was great......... very clean........ I was so happy with my stay here and with every thing I had to worry about with the wedding,
the hotel was not. Its the best value for price. The distance to the boardwalk was not bad either. It was walking distance but you have to like to walk, otherwise you can always take the jitneys. Overall the hotel was just what we all needed and when I go back I am staying
here again............
