Stayed at the Iberotel Palace from the 9th March until the 20th March.

Weather was in the 30's everyday and sometimes too hot!

Well what can i say, hotel fabulous, people at the hotel fabulous
especially the waiters Hany and Mohammed. Reception staff very helpful. As in previous reviews if you dont like your room then just ask and they will change you. I thought my "superior" room was a bit shabby and they did offer me an alternative but i didnt like the bathroom as much on the alternative room so decided to stay put.

We were in room 4220 and it overlooked the gardens at the side but also was very close to the bar and loud music coming from accross the road. Didnt bother us too much but BEWARE every morning at 4.30 the praying starts and goes on for a good 5 minutes and woke us every day!!

Food excellent, you have to remember you are in egypt and if you want chips everyday then stay at home. Breakfast selection excellent, plenty of pastries, fruit, yoghurt infact everything you could think of. If you are all inclusive then there are certain times when you can eat at the Beach Bar for your lunch and the menu is limited and of a poorer quality to those who ate off the paid menu!! However this wasnt a problem as you could just go and eat in the main restuarants. You could get chips from the beach bar only. I struggled with what to drink alcohol wise as the all inc wine was awful and i dont really drink local spirits, so i had to make do with the cocktails and after a couple of those i was ready for bed!!!

You never struggled for a sunbed and it was a pleasure not to have to get up early to find one. The Hotels private Beach was excellent. Beware of being conned into a massage, they try and make you have more than you really need! Enjoyed the Beauty centre and didnt find it expensive at all.

Also you were not hassled for tips and we found we wanted to give just for the excellent service and not because we felt we had to.

Hated going out of the hotel, you couldnt even cross the road without being stopped by at least 10 taxis asking if you wanted one. Hassled constantly by shop keepers which was the only thing that put me off.

Entertainment in the Hotel dreadfull, infact non-existent, They really do need to do something about it.

To sum it up if you want to go for a peaceful relaxing holiday with nothing much to do and the most obliging helpful staff then this is the hotel for you.

“Really great....but...!”

I stayed for two weeks , Feb into March, and can endorse the general consensus posted here that this is a fine place, hardly five-star by European standards but certainly good enough to enjoy what most of us travel to Egypt for – sunshine and the extraordinary friendliness of the Egyptians. The rooms are spacious but, inevitably, some are not so well-positioned in the complex which is built in the shape HH. The four bottom sections run towards the sea, the top four towards the busy road to Cairo. It is a two-storey complex and all the rooms on the second floors have balconies overlooking the sea, or the beautiful gardens, or the swimming pool, or the road. Some rooms at ground level have balconies but the majority have small, un-private patios, facing onto the gardens or onto the pool. The least attractive rooms are confusingly classed “Superior”, and although you could be lucky to get one with a balcony, you will be closer to the road than the sea. The cheaper tour operators have rooms located in the so-called “superior” sections so travellers who want to be sure of a really good room (classed “Deluxe”) should be quick off the mark at the check-in. First check out your room. You may be lucky and get a well-positioned “Superior”; but if not head back to Reception and look for an up-grade to “Deluxe” (they usually have a few). Like most good things in life, however, there is an additional charge of €20 per night. The standard of food in the hotel is good, the best being the dinner buffet in the Blue Marine. It changes daily so you should see what you fancy of maybe three evenings per week. Their Italian restaurant is a beautiful room with table service but the standard is patchy and very limited: I’d recommend the beef medalions; but avoid the pasta and the Cesar Salad. The hotel is located in the centre of a mile-long crescent bay; and although the beach is man-made, it’s fully 80 metres wide with deep sand. There are only two other hotels with access to the beach so there’s plenty of room for everyone and for snorkelling along a coral reef one kilometre away. A predictable shopping arcade faces the hotel and behind it lies the “Old Market” which, in fact, is only eleven years old, but is crammed with hundreds of shops, mostly stuffed with junk that nobody wants, and a number of eating-places that provide a risky alternative to what’s on offer within the hotel complex. This place is ideal for a relaxing holiday but definitely not for action-lovers or for nightlife. There’s more of both available in Nama Bay about 10 km away which more resembles a crowded boardwalk in Miami than anything one would expect in Egypt

“hard to sum up in a few words...”

Iberotel Palace

I spent ages trying to find a hotel for me and my boyfriend for a holiday to egypt. I read so many reviews and changed my mind on so many different hotels, but i cannot explain how happy i am with the choice that i finally made.

Iberotel palace is, by far, one of the best hotels in egypt. There was nothing atall that i could fault about it.

The grounds are so beautiful and well kept. We didn't see any bugs there the whole holiday. And no flies either, which was suprising because of the amount there were outside of the hotel!!

The beach is fantastic with lots of sunbeds and a little towel man so you can change your towel at any time of the day for a fresh, clean one. The beach bar is also great, with lots of yummy food and any drink you could possibly want! the 2nd snorkelling beach is beautiful, lots of stunning fish

The rooms.....our bed was HUGE! i have never seen anything like it. and they were cleaned everyday, and the fridge stocked up without fail. They did forget on a few occasions to fill the fridge, but you just had to call reception and they would be straight to your room to do it

The staff couldn't do enough for you, any problem you had, they would definatly help you out! our favourite was ahmed in the lobby bar. amazing guy! he speaks 5 different languages!!!!!!!

The pools were amazing too, especially the top infinity pool... the pictures don't do it justice!! and it was lovely and heated when we were there

The food was really yummy. Alot of people have said it is very repetitive, but me and my boyfriend ate there every night and never found that it got boring. the only trouble was that some of the food could be abit bland... but there was lots of other stuff to choose from if that was the problem. Breakfasts and puddings were extra yummy!

I am 21 and my boyfriend 26... so i did worry that maybe this hotel would be abit too 'old' for us, but we have already said we will be returning without a doubt. The most beautiful and relaxing place i have ever been :)

I would also recommend the quadbiking in the desert... ridiculously fun!!!

I can't wait to go back next year, i'm tempted to book it now

Fantastic hotel, worth every one of its 5 stars!! enjoy...

“Simply the best!”

This is the second time we have been to this hotel and it will not be the last. Everything about this hotel is fantastic which is why we returned. The staff are amazing - so friendly, everyone down to the cleaners and the gardeners talk to you and say 'have a nice day' wherever you go - it's a nice touch! The hotel is so clean, the cleaners work around the clock to ensure they stay on top of everything. Rooms are really spacious and the air conditioning is a godsend (especially in July - it's hot!) but even in February when a couple of days it reached 30 degrees! What makes this hotel so good is that everyhting is literally on your doorstep - pool, beach, bar, restaurants etc. are just a few seconds walk wherever you are. This is quite a small hotel compared to most in Sharm but that is what gives it its appeal as it makes it more intimate and gives it a much more relaxed feel. The food is good but you do have to appreciate that they are trying to accomodate for so many different tastes and cultures, but theres a good choice and it's well cooked! We were all inclusive and it suited us as all local alcoholic drinks (and they're good! try the Stella beer you'll be pleasantly suprised!), all the food you can eat and all soft drinks are included. You will never be stuck to get a drink or something to eat. If I could give anybody a tip it would be to tip the staff regulary just £1.00 or £2.00 (10 - 20 egyptian pounds). They really do appreciate it and you will be treated like royalty. To us it's a few pounds to them it's like you've given them gold and they don't forget your generosity. We tipped the staff because they thouroughly deserved it for the service they give you. The staff really made this hotel for us as they can't do enough for you especially the boys in the lobby bar - Shehata, Ahmed and Mohammed! Theres a free boat ride to the sister beach where the snorkelling is a must and can highly recommend Ras Mohammed and Stars and Dinner trips. Amazing! (Book the trips when you get there - they're slightly cheaper) You will not be disappointed at this hotel and learn the words Shokran and La Shokran - thank you and no thank you - they'll get you a long way! We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did and we will certainly be returning!
