“Really Very Good!”

Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Fayrouz Resort

I have just got back from staying at the Hilton Fayrouz with my 14 year old daughter and what a good time we have had!

The hotel, as so many of you have mentioned is in a super position, so close to the action yet so quiet in the gardens that souround the rooms. The beach is fantastic and even though the hotel was full last week you could still find a bed on the beach what ever time you turned up. I think it would be nicer if one of the swimming pools was adult only as the small children do rather dominate!!!

Yes the rooms are a little dated, but a really good size, air con that works well, and are well cleaned every day, and we loved our little terrace where you could sit and have a drink in the evening looking out inro the super gardens.

We booked a day boat trip with lunch and 3 stops to snorkle from 9 till 4.30 with sun and fun for only £17.50 each, I think that is really good value for money. The guys at sun and fun are great and we were really well taken care of.

All in all a really good holiday and I can't wait to go back!

“Excellent”

Booked this hotel after reading the reviews on here. Very glad we did and cannot wait to come back. We came with 2 children who we hardly saw for most of the holiday. The staff and security are fantastic and we had no worries whatsoever about the kids running around playing. There is everything here for children from the ice cream man, to the playpark, pools and beach. Made for a very relaxing holiday for the adults.

The spa is currently undergoing some work with the planned addition of sauna and jacuzzi so is a little noisy at the moment but the massages are well worth it.

Would recommend the bed and breakfast only option as there are so many fantastic restaurants around naama bay. We didnt have a bad meal the whole 2 weeks we were here. The Japanese restaurant at the neighbouring hotel is a must also.

Big up for ALL the staff at the hilton fayrouz, wonderful, friendly and very very helpful people!

“Worth a visit”

Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Fayrouz Resort

After booking the hotel I decided to read the views on this site and thought that I've made a mistake by booking with Hitlon Fayrouz.. When I arrived at the hotel and experienced the scenes I reaised that I was wrong.
You cannot fault the hotel at all; service was excellent and beyond my expectations. The staff were very pleasent and helpfull and can go all the extra miles to please their guests. The hotel is more a 4 stars than 5 but after the service my mother and I receieved we are deffenetly will go there again. One thing that we didn't liked over there were the Russians. They were very rude, arrogant and don't know how to say please, thank you or even excuse me. Even the locals don't like them and prefere English and other European.

We booked the hotel as BB but later we upgraded to HB but realised later that BB is enough as there are plenty of other restaurants around, and also if you do HB you can only have the dinner at one restaurant there which is the Wadi restaurant where they serve breakfast. Breakfast was superb, you can find anything in the breakfast from European to Middle Eastern. We ate most of the time at the hotel although it was a bit more than outside in Naama Bay but as I said before that the hotel was great and has a beautiful scenery that we hardly went out of the hotel in daytime. We only went out in evenings. The Fish restaurant is a must try as you get t pick the fish, prawns, calamari...etc from the ice before they cook it for you. Hossam at the Pool bar was great, same as Mido the buggage handler and Fatma at the health spa.

Few important tips: always tip around 20 - 30 egyptian pound which is only £2 - 3 - sterling and at the end of your trip if you want to tip the house keeper or luggage handler you can give 100 egyptian which is around £10 sterling which is a lot of money to them but the staff at the hotel work very hard and they do deserve the tips, do not excursions from Sun & Fun which is based near the Fish restaurant as they are extremly expensive. Book excursions from the main Naama Bay street. another advise which: do not drink the local Vodka there as its not pure Vodka and also much cheaper than the export one. You can drink the local wine or beer which taste better than the ones we have here in the UK. Also do not drink from the tap water as it not healthy at all and thats not because of the hotel but its usual for Sharm El Sheikh.
I hope this long review can be a help to anyone as there are more to talk about but there won't be enough space to write everything.

“Very good hotel overall”

Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Fayrouz Resort

5 of 5 stars

Just returned from the Hilton Fayrouz and thought i would add another positive review and some comments. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend the hotel highly also after having visited some of the other hotels in Naama Bay while we were there.

Starting with a slight negative as some people have mentioned the rooms are slightly dated compared to some other hotels and this means for example the air conditioning is louder than a newer one would be but works well and this didn't bother us after the first night. The fitness centre is also in desperate need of a refit. However this is more than outweighted by the positive points - the whole hotel is mostly on one level arranged as a collection of chalets in a beautiful and very well maintained garden setting, this makes it look very different (and much better and more relaxed) than a typical chain hotel. The private beach seemed to us to be the best in Naama Bay and is about 30 seconds walk away from the rooms with lots of umbrellas for shade meaning it was very easy to move from the beach to your room.

Service is excellent, very friendly and efficient and much better than we received in some other hotels while dining out (the Hyatt was especially bad for service in the bar and restaurant), the rooms are cleaned very thoroughly each day.

One piece of advice - personally I would not recommend paying for the half board option you are offered when you check in, there are only 3 restaurants in the hotel and 2 are buffet only in the evening. The hotel is in the middle of Naama Bay and we enjoyed walking to other hotel restaurants to get more variety of food and surroundings in the evenings. We regularly ate breakfast and lunch in the Hilton though and enjoyed the food there. Some people may of course prefer the convenience of the half board option which is very good value for money.

Overall it may not be a 5* hotel in terms of ultra modern facilities (eg like the 5* hotels in Dubai) but offers a great holiday experience at a very good price with excellent service from the staff so I would highly recommend it.

“Best Value, Best Location and Great Staff”

Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Fayrouz Resort

Mar 29, 2008

I booked this Hotel on the back of the reviews on this site and am so very glad I did. What I wonderful place, yes it is only 3/4 (ish) stars but the staff are 5 star, the place is spotless and the location is perfect. For the money we paid for our stay we can only rate this as the best service /value for money I have experienced and I have stayed in some very good 5* hotels all over the world.

Every member of staff from the gardeners to the head chef takes time to say hello and wish you a good day. We had our three year old son with us and they couldn't do enough for him.

The food was great for a family holiday, always fresh, always prepared in front of you (I recommend the Italian on the beach front if you have kids). If wasn't gourmet and we had no expection that it would be , just good and functional and very well prepared. The resturants attention to keeping it clean thorugh service was exceptional.

We met lots of families staying at the Hilton Dreams across the road from our complex, who had paid for all-inclusive who had wished they had got into this hotel instead, even though its lower star rating.

If your looking for a very moderm, state of the art hotel with Gourmet resturants then this is not the place for you.

If you want warm, helpful and friendly atmosphere, clean rooms and complex , a great beach location and good functional food at a very competive rate then this is the number one place to stay, no doubt!!
