“Worn, but good value, great staff.”

After reading the reviews of this place I was scared to go, but the place isn't bad at all. Yes, it is worn but we weren't going there to sit in our room. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite which accomodated 4 adults and an infant just fine. The bathrooms were standard for anywhere I've been and were very clean. We had a little living room/sitting area with a tv and a pull out loveseat. The little kitchen had a counter with 2 chairs, a refridgerator/freezer, stove, microwave, coffee maker, sink and cups, plates and silverware. There was a bedroom on each side of the living room, each with it's own bathroom and closet. Both bedrooms had their own tv. The only complaint I have with the bedrooms is that only one of them has air conditioning. There is a/c in the living area and one bedroom. If you leave the other bedroom door open the air does filter in there, but I thought it was odd to have only a/c in one bedroom! Otherwise I wouldn't worry about anything. For the price it is a great deal!!

“Old and Worn!”

Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Arlington

Stayed here on business recently. A business partner had stayed here in the past and talked me into trying it out. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, but the property needs a lot of work.

I had a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen and living area. I didn't request this room, but they chose it for me. The room was small and the furniture and bedding were very dated. The bathroom was so small the door only cleared the toilet by 2 inches. There was no room to move. The bathroom was not cleaned well.

I will not stay here on my next business trip to the area.

“Worn and Weary”

I have stayed at several Country Inn & Suite locations in Texas and Louisiana with very positive results! I was very disappointed with the Arlington location. It was complicated to find as it is located on a side road off the interstate and was not clearly marked. After several wrong turns and a couple of telephone calls direct we finally found it. As I pulled into the entrance I could tell that it was older and not quite as well kept as other locations I had visited. I went into the office and checked in, it seems that my request to be on a lower level was not indicated on my reservation form and there was only the 3rd floor available. There is one elevator serving the entire wing and it was located on the opposite side. This was the first drawback, however I tried to make the best of it and loaded my luggage and accessories onto the elevator and lugged around the entire lot to my room. The room was a kitchen suite with king bed. It had a sofa sleeper, which was worn and torn in several areas. The kitchen area was drab and dreary. There is only one cooling unit which is located in the kitchen area and it did not cool the bedroom area during the day. I mentioned my disappointment in the room to the staff at front desk and they told me that it had been purchased last year by Country Inn and was to be renovated. I understand that it may take some time to make the improvements, however the interiors would be the first order of business. I requested additional pillows and blankets for the sofa bed and the clerk felt it necessary to question how many were in the room. I explained that there were 2 of us as I had indicated on my reservation, and I wanted to use the sofa bed. Was that a problem? After a short pause, I was informed that housekeeping would bring them. It was a short while later and housekeeping delivered them with a smile. That was a positive note!
I left the Country Inn (after 2 day stay) for Comfort Inn in Fort Worth on I35W, North Frwy. It was a great place with a great rate which I found by accident when I lucked upon tripadvisor.com trying to find another hotel. I needed to stay in the area for another four days and did not want to stay at the Country Inn. The Comfort Inn was very nice with a VERY NICE ROOM AND FRIENDLY, HELPFUL STAFF. It had a very good rate with nice, comfortable room and perks. I booked online with confirmation, this was my first attempt using the site and I was impressed with the ease and the savings! I have recommended the site to many friends and co-workers.

“Needs to be Renovated”

Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Arlington

Edmond, Oklahoma

This hotel is close to Six Flags and is relatively inexpensive. However, the property needs some attention. The pool needs to be re-plastered and tiles are missing around the pool's edge. The pool was dirty - leaves, etc. Guests staying here were rather rowdy after 10 pm. People going up and down the stairs till the wee hours. On the plus side, the staff in the front office are friendly. Rooms could use updating and attention. Our room, the carpet tack strip was visible (and dangerous) between the bedroom and bathroom. Light bulb burned out. Just needs some attention seems to me. They are no longer on the "trolley" route, so if you were hoping not to drive to the nearby attractions and save on parking, select a different hotel.

“Great for what I needed”

Stayed at the hotel because I had an event at the convention center in arlington a mile away. The hotel was packed and overbooked, but I got in. I had to do quite a bit of studying and it was nice for that because of the couch and bar/desk areas. The breakfast and happy hour snacks were greatly appreciated! However, the interior is dated and the cleaning solution they used smelled very strongly to where I had to ask them to stop cleaning the room. But, if you're going to the Convention Center, the amusement park or the ballpark this is a great location because they have a shuttle that stops at the hotel and you don't even have to drive. The service was very friendly.
