Only being about 250 yards from the main road to the waterfalls the hotel is well placed enabling you to catch a local bus (every 20/30 mins) to the Iguassu National Park.
Whilst our room was a little dated (a few deep browns) it was perfectly fine for our short stay in the area. The room was clean, fresh and had adequate storage space.
The hotel buffet breakfast was excellent offering a wide range of fresh fruits, cakes, breads and cooked foods setting you up for the day. The restaurant looked OK, although only offered a buffet in the evening but as the hotel is a short walk from a couple of "beer gardens" that serve huge portions of food at good prices and more importantly ice cold beer we did not have a need touse the hotel facilities for dinner.
Overall for the cost (we paid about £35 per night) the Rafain offered great value and we felt perfectly safe walking around the area in the evenings.
