Juneau caters to cruise ships. Their passengers, presumably, have a clean place to stay. The Extended Stay is convenient to the airport - right across the street. However, the staff is not friendly and not helpful. The rooms are only moderately clean, except for the paper thin towels which are well worn and discolored. Unfortunately, there are very few places to stay in Juneau. B&B's would most likely be a better alternative, if available.

Unfortunately Aspen hotel was purchased by Extended stay Hotel. The service and quality is unacceptable. It is extended stay at hotel price. Very disappointing, STAY AWAY!!!

My husband and I had a very unpleasant experience in the hot tub. We have been frequent guests over the years. On Christmas day, an employee brought two of her friends and three small children with her to use the hotel pool and hot tub. The one child (aprox age 4) was swimming in the hot tub and kept kicking us. When I mentioned to the friend of the employeee that the child was hurting me and scratching with her toenails,the friend became abusive. As we were leaving because our experience had been ruined, the employee than became confrontational with my daughter-in-law, who had not even spoken to her. The employee than left the pool. As we were going to our room, the hotel clerk stopped us in the hall and told us that we were not allowed in the pool? Obviously we were not there any more. Not only was the hotel clerk rude to us. he was not even interested in listening to us. When we told him about the kicking and toenails he simply said it was a public facility and that we must put up with it. I guess employees with small children, and their guests are treated better than a paying customer.
