Nice rooms but awful street location. The Hotel seems perfect for financial or business travelers, however I wouldn´t suggest it for tourists. It´s pretty close to Puerto Madero but still a long walk, and it´s not a nice walk..too dirty, streets surrounded with garbage. Rooms had NO views at all, but a roof, not even any plants. The room s I must say were vERY comfortable with many modern amenities such as light dimmers, nice bathrooms, internet access, etc.

My husband and I were at Regal Pacific Buenos Aires, in August, 2007, and it was a good choice! The hotel is new (it has 2 years old), and it is smaller than others that belong to international hoteliers company. This detail helps to upgrade their service. The hotel is ultra-modern in their commons areas and the apartaments. The apartaments are big and beautiful. The Ebano Restaurant is good even though it has a small menu. Everything that we ordered was really delicious. The breakfast is fantastic! The staff is nice and helpful. The location is perfect for the travellers who have few days in Buenos Aires (Calle 25 de Mayo, between Av. Cordoba and Calle Viamonte): three blocks up is Galerias Pacific Mall, and three blocks under is the Puerto Madero entrance. The rate is very low, if you consider that this hotel is a five star. If you prefer to stay in a five star hotel, you must consider the Hotel Regal Pacific Buenos Aires.

I use to go to buenos aires once a year and I like to stay downtown. many times I stayed at claridge wich is good and last year I stayed at sheraton libertador which was terrible. last week i stayed at regal pacific and I found it perferc. large room (a couple and a 12 years old boy). very clean, everything new (the hotel has 2 years), noise zero , very well located (2 blocks form florida and very near to purto madero.very good breakfast and staff coudn't be more polite. price very good.
next year will stay there again. hope that everything will be the same.

I read very good reviews on tripadvisor.com about this hotel and they're all true. I stayed in the Four Seasons before and of course loved that experience of over-the-top luxury, but I was looking for better value this trip and found it at Regal Pacific.

The hotel is great value, in a great location. Because of its size, it feels almost boutique-y. Because of how clean and gleaming it is inside, I thought it was brand-new but it's been open a few years. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Free use of internet in business center. The service is more formal than warm, but entirely competent and helpful.

Some have commented on the sketchy neighborhood--but the hotel is on a side street, just off a main road. The huge front doors are electronically locked at night and opened by doormen, so no worries about random hoodlums wandering in off the street.

Gym is more of a fitness room; pool is on the small side.

Nice restaurant and nice bar (gracias to Alexis the excellent bartender!).

I stayed there for a few nights and then returned when my flight got cancelled because of the snowstorm in BA. I came in "off the street" and they could've ripped me off on the price but gave me the same rate I had before. They've won my everlasting loyalty.

My only gripe is the same one you'd have at any hotel--expensive minibar, and about $4/minute for international phone calls. Ouch!
